Eygliers walks

A relatively short and easy walk around the "Vauban" citadel of Mont-Dauphin. From the top of the circuit, there are fine views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, while the section along the river Guil offers a view not only of the Guil, but also of the Chalp canal waterfall. The walk can be followed by a stroll around the citadel.

A lovely walk in a green setting with little elevation gain on an easy trail (along the water) to do with the family, keeping a close eye on young children in the more exposed areas or on the ridge. Some sections offer superb views of Guillestre and beyond, then through the trees to the Guil Gorges.

This pleasant second day begins with a climb to the Col de Moussière before passing by the very pleasant Lac du Lauzet, then taking the long forest track back to the Moussière car park.

Access from the alpine hamlet of Moussière to the bivouac area located between the Selle and Crousas mountain pastures. This mountain pasture overlooks the Cabane Sainte-Marie, where the sheep are kept at night.

Sometimes it is worth splitting the daily walks in two to enjoy an evening in the bivouac. This is the route we have chosen this year, which allows you to marvel at the 360° landscape from the bivouac in the evening and morning.

There is a long crossing before the Col des Houerts, which takes you into the Ubaye Valley.

This is a particularly pleasant route, starting in the woods and then passing through beautiful mountain pastures, crossing the alpine village of Granges de Furfande and ending at the refuge below the pass of the same name.

You'll take the Aiguillettes path up to the two major passes above Ceillac, then join the Col de Fromage via the Souillet path on the Guil valley side, on a beautiful balcony path. ⚠️Caution: the Aiguillettes path crosses 3 ravines that may pose problems for some. If this is the case, you can take the GR® which starts nearby and ends at the same point. Less interesting but quieter.

A very beautiful, easy walk through old hamlets and magnificent landscapes. The path is always fairly wide and without any significant slopes, making it ideal for snowshoeing.

A place of pilgrimage on 26 July on the feast day of Anne, this lake at the foot of the Col Girardin is an obligatory stop-off point for pilgrims on the famous GR®5.

This is a challenging hike at the start, which continues along the Cascade de la Pisse waterfall. Lac Miroir, nestled in a pretty valley, reflects the snow-capped peaks all around. The Cascade de la Pisse waterfall, seen from below, is accessible directly from the car park (2 minutes' walk), and the hike follows the tumultuous torrent.

For this first stage, you will begin your journey at the Argentière-les-Écrins train station. The hike follows the GR®54A, taking you through the Fournel valley and the Deslioures biological reserve. You will finally arrive at a plateau that is ideal for camping. Please note: landslide in July 2025

A very pretty little mountain lake full of freshness.

A short, easy family hike. Two points of interest: an art trail and, at the end, a beautiful waterfall.

This is a pleasant route to one of the main and most beautiful viewpoints of Lake Serre-Ponçon. Due to the large number of intersections, I recommend using the Visorando app.

A pretty little lake in a green setting above Embrun and at the foot of the Tête de l'Hivernet (2,824 m).

There is a pretty little lake at an altitude of 2,500 metres and a beautiful view of the Queyras massif from the Tronchet ridge.

A cool hike starting from the village of Les Vigneaux. The Col de la Pousterle can be reached by many routes, but this one takes the "Via Novo", the GR®50. At the pass, there is a view overlooking the Vallée de la Vallouise, and you can even see the front of the Glacier Blanc.

Embrun is a town located in the heart of the Durance Valley. Rich in history, it is located not far from Lake Serre-Ponçon. There is a small lake next to it. Walking around it is a pleasant stroll, with views of the surrounding mountains, including Pic de Morgon and Mont Guillaume. It is a walk that can be enjoyed with young children.
