The Montfort loop
This well-marked loop, taken from the region's guidebooks, will take you through the village of Vitrac, perched on a plateau and dominated by its church and castle, as well as the medieval village of Montfort and its castle.
Around the village and Beynac Castle
Enjoy discovering the village of Beynac (one of the most beautiful villages in France) and don't hesitate to visit its castle, a jewel of 12th-century military architecture that has been constantly remodelled since then. You will then be able to admire the surrounding countryside of hills, valleys, shady forests, green meadows and typical Périgord houses with their undeniable charm.
Touristic Dordogne at La Roque-Gageac
From the Vitrac quite village, this route goes up the Dordogne valley to discover the famous La Roque-Gageac clifftop village.
Fronsac, its châteaux and viewpoints
This fairly hilly route takes you through vineyards and castles and offers numerous viewpoints.
The route was designed by the Fronsac Tourist Office and is fairly well signposted for the most part, but has been slightly modified.

Discover the thermal springs of the Dordogne
Starting from La Bourboule, this hike follows the spring trail along the banks of the Dordogne. Halfway through, you can either retrace your steps or go via Rigolet Bas as described below.

At the end of the walk, plan a short trip on a gabarre to admire this town from a different angle.
The villages of Bastit and Meyraguet in a circular loop starting from Belcastel
A beautiful hike from Belcastel to Bastit, returning via the village of Meyraguet. This walk can be done in sunny weather, as much of it is in the forest. You can admire the L'Ouysse valley below. After crossing the road at (2), head towards the magnificent village of Le Bastit on the banks of the Dordogne, overlooked by its castle. The return journey is along a path overlooking the Dordogne. No difficulty, just a slight incline.
Condat Circular
Just a few minutes from Libourne town centre, there are over 450 hectares of nature: meadows, vineyards, woods, the Dordogne river, but also storks, deer and wild boar (don't worry, they're not visible during the day...). Also worth seeing are a magnificent chapel, Château Videlot and its grounds.
Please note that the path through the château grounds along the Dordogne may be inaccessible during high tides (coefficient > 100).

Take this route on your mountain bike through the vineyards, which will lead you from the quays of Castillon-la-Bataille to Blasimon and its abbey. Finish this route at the Blasimon leisure centre.
Circular Vent Haut to Vent Bas via the Dordogne Valley in Neuvic
Cross these two hamlets south of Neuvic, passing through areas where there are still "dryers" and slate-covered wells. Don't forget to take a close look at the impressive Gorges de la Dordogne.
Sentier du Milan trail in Liginiac
Set off to explore this trail, which will take you to the Roc Grand viewpoint via the Saut de Juillac and a view of the Monts du Cantal. You can also discover one of the most beautiful views of the Gorges de la Dordogne, with almost 180° visibility. If you're lucky, you may see a bird of prey flying over the gorges.
