The meeting point is located on the edge of the D 29, in the centre of the village of Badefols-sur-Dordogne, where parking is available except on Fridays, which is market day in the afternoon. The departure point is behind the bakery, at the foot of the hiking information board.
(S/E) Follow the hiking sign and join the road that climbs the hillside, heading south. Continue to the crossroads 1.6 km away and turn right.
(1) At the crossroads (signposted Le Sizel/Barde/Le Pech Haut), turn left and then immediately right to enter the forest. Continue to the next intersection (Molières signposted), turn left and follow this path between the trees, going uphill. At the road (la Belle étoile/les Marques), turn right and continue for 600 m.
(2) Opposite house no. 2806, turn left and take the path downhill. Pass the spring and the wash house, continue straight ahead until you reach the next road at a place called Les Petits. A friendly dog will greet you on the path. Turn right and 100 m further on, turn left opposite the wooden house (signposted). Continue to the next road.
(3) At the Les Galaches crossroads, cross the road, continue for 100 metres and turn left. Take the path on the right after 50 metres (in front of the house with the green roof), go down the path to join the C 204 road and continue straight ahead.
(4) Enter the village of Molières, turn left to pass in front of the church, the town hall and the porch, then go down the hill to the cemetery. Go around the cemetery on the left and follow the road to the cattle farm in Gaulhiac.
(5) Turn right between the large hay barn and the animal park. Continue to the road and turn left. After 100 metres, turn right towards Le Vignal. Pass in front of the pidgeon hunting huts. Please note: turn left as indicated and then immediately right a few metres further on (unmarked path). Walk alongside the pidgeon hunting huts. Continue to the next crossroads in the forest after the power line.
(6) Turn left and follow the path that passes to the left of the large electricity pylon. After 100 metres, turn right and go up to the wooden shed. Turn left to reach a farm and cross the road.
(7) Continue straight ahead along the left side of the farm and turn left after the shed. Follow the path to the next road (detached house with a fence and swans). Turn left.
(8) Go down the road for 150 m and turn right onto the path that runs along the hill to reach the next road, opposite the cemetery.
(9) Turn right, pass the calvary and the cemetery and reach the village of Badefols-sur-Dordogne to arrive at the information board (S/E).
