A walk that should delight everyone. RAVeL, paths, trails, country roads, woods and beautiful neighbourhoods are all on the menu for this walk.

Easy walk, very flat and accessible to all (except wheelchair users). A very pleasant outing that follows a stream resurgence after the quarry and the memorial.

A short walk starting from the Bois du Cazier mining site in Marcinelle. This is a circular walk that is not suitable for pushchairs. The walk passes by the Fontaine qui bout. There is a car park on site.

This hike offers a gentle immersion between Haies and Jamioulx, along rural paths, tranquil woods and discreet valleys. The landscape alternates between rolling hills, open meadows and wooded areas, offering a varied and soothing walk. Streams punctuate the route and bring a cool atmosphere, while the place names recall an agricultural and forestry past that is still perceptible. It is a walk where you take the time to observe, listen and feel, surrounded by living nature, local history and simple landscapes.

A beautiful hike (just over 3 hours), much appreciated, combining forests, streams, ponds and countryside. You will also be able to admire the castle of Sart-Eustache. Whatever the season, this route will allow you to discover the splendours of the Bois du Grand Fréchy, all along the Ruisseau de l'Étang du Diable. A truly exotic route despite its short distance. You can follow the Terrils trails and enjoy beautiful views depending on the season. Come rain or shine, snow or wind. This pleasant little route can be done with the family (take care with young children) or with a backpack if you are particularly well prepared.

Set off to explore the countryside and forests to the north-west of Florennes and north-east of Walcourt. This is south of Gerpinnes and the stronghold of the marches and pilgrimages of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse.Shortly after setting off, the route passes the majestic Ferme de la Prévôté (information board) and the imposing church of Hanzinne.The walk passes through the outskirts of Tarcienne, in the national forest and then through the centre of Morialmé before reaching the villages of Hanzinelle and returning to Hanzinne.

A pleasant circular walk in the woods near Charleroi. Discover part of the Eau d'Heure valley and the charming village of Jamioulx. The Eau d'Heure is a small river that flows into the Sambre at Marchienne-au-Pont. It gets its name from its unique ability to rise in an hour and fall just as quickly.

Starting from the hamlet of Les Bruyères, this walk first takes you to Wagnée before introducing you to the Tournibus forest and the surrounding countryside on the borders of Biesme (Mettet), Fromiée (Gerpinnes) and Hanzinelle (Florennes).Superb forest and countryside landscapes, peaceful and sheltered from the hustle and bustle of modern life.A real delight of trees, crops and flowers in tune with the seasons.A unique discovery between the GR® 129 Renaix-Dinant and the GRP® 125 Tour de l'Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse.You can also start at Place d'Hanzinelle (easy parking) if you are coming from Florennes or Gerpinnes.

A circular loop starting from the AS Montigny sports complex, for experienced walkers looking for a proper day’s outing. The route heads away from the village to explore the countryside to the south of the area, the Sambre valley and the wooded hills bordering Marbaix-la-Tour (on the edge of Gozée) and Nalinnes (Jamioulx).

Starting from the AS Montigny football club (asmontigny.be), you can enjoy a 5.40 km walk through the streets and alleyways of the charming town of Montigny-le-Tilleul, in Hainaut. The first half is generally downhill (from 176 metres to 110 metres), whilst the second half is a steady climb back to the club. The lowest point is at around the 2.96 km mark (Marbaix area, on the edge of the woods).

Set off to explore the woods of Tournibus and the vast, gently rolling landscapes of this part of Entre Sambre-et-Meuse along wide forest paths and discover its history, which was sometimes tragic, such as the Battle of Wagnée on 24 August 1914. It was at Hanzinelle Castle that the "Hanzinelle Agreements" were signed in 1978, restructuring the Walloon steel industry. Not to mention its folklore with the famous Marches de l'entre Sambre-et-Meuse, re-enactments in period costume of Napoleon's armies.

A short hike in the woods of Ham and Roly, and along the Sambre. You can hike with a dog without any problems and also mountain bike, but perhaps in the other direction as the Bois Roly has quite a steep gradient, which is easier to descend by bike than to climb.

Les Bons Villers, Villers-Perwin, Villers-la-Ville... these three Villers, among the many others in Wallonia, share the border between Hainaut and Walloon Brabant on a plain called Chassart, named after the prosperous factories built inthe 19th centuryby the Chassart family just a few miles away.Countryside, countryside and more countryside: that's what you'll find on this refreshing ride.

Take a walk in the woods of the Sambre valley around Landelies and Aulne Abbey.  Bois du Prince, Bois de la Grattière, Bois communal, a bit of towpath, a bit of traffic-free tarmac with distant views of the region's mining and industrial past, two lift bridges, Aulne Abbey: that's the programme for the walk.With hyacinths as a bonus in mid-April. 

A circular route starting from Landelies, alternating between forest paths, views of the Sambre valley and the remarkable heritage of Aulne Abbey. A varied, accessible route, ideal for a contemplative walk combining nature, history and open landscapes.

Inthe 19th century, the Dumont family founded the Établissements de Chassart, modernised agriculture and livestock farming, and set up a sugar factory following the development of beet cultivation in the region. This was followed by the creation of a distillery and the production of the famous Chassart Vieille Cuvée genever. In 1906, the family name was ennobled to Dumont de Chassart.

At the start, the hike offers an outdoor visit to the Château d'Ham-sur-Heure and the Sentier des Prairies du Château, which leads to the station, passing close to a waterfall and a half-bridge over the Eau d'Heure. After the station, the hike takes you over hill and dale through the forest for about 4.5 km before moving decisively into the countryside until you return to Ham-sur-Heure.

Here is a circular walk that offers a mix of countryside and woodland along paths, tracks, RAVeL routes and small roads in the areas bordering Walcourt and Ham-sur-Heure-Nalinnes.Make the most of nature in spring for the flowers and in autumn for the beautiful colours in the forest.

On the heights of the Courcelles slag heaps, the walk will lead you to well-hidden and unexpected paths. Starting from Saint-Barthélemy Church.

This route crosses the countryside around the village of Laneffe, with a few woods along the way, via beautiful, accessible paths. There is a large car park at the starting point. The walk begins by following part of the Tour Saint-Éloi, a path taken by the Saint-Éloi procession during the village's traditional folk march. From (4), it continues towards the heights of the village, where you can see the surroundings in the direction of Charleroi. The end of the route gives pride of place to the green countryside before returning to the village.

Starting from the church in the village centre, the route takes you along quiet lanes and small roads in the centre before heading out into the countryside. An easy family hike with convenient parking at the start.

A short walk through the woods surrounding Spy Cave to the Orneau Valley.

Set off on a superb 22 km mountain bike ride to discover the region’s magnificent landscapes! From the very first pedal strokes, you’ll ride through the woods of the Spy Man’s Cave, a place steeped in history and surrounded by unspoilt nature. You’ll then follow the peaceful banks of the Orneau to the splendid Falnuée golf course, where the tranquillity and greenery offer an exceptional setting. The route will then take you through the beautiful countryside of Mazy, along country lanes, open vistas and pleasant little paths. Finally, you’ll return to your starting point, enjoying one last glimpse of the charm of the stream, the golf course surroundings and the forest. An ideal outing for mountain bikers seeking nature, relaxation and new discoveries!

Also known as the Forêt des Minières due to the region’s mining history, this forest will enchant many a hiker. Nature reigns supreme here and, apart from a bit of noise pollution near the N932, it is utterly peaceful, with birdsong or the rustling of leaves in the wind depending on the season and the weather.

The walk starts at the site of the former Chassart factories, on the edge of the Marbais wind farm, and begins its rural tour with a short detour into Hainaut territory before heading north towards Marbisoux and Marbais. Admire the two bell towers in the distance: Marbisoux with its small bulbous spire and Marbais with its four pinnacles. After Marbais, the route crosses the magnificent rolling lawns and wooded grounds of the Rigenée and La Bruyère golf courses. A gently undulating countryside where a wind farm has been built generally means that the area is well ventilated. Be careful: the wind can be biting and/or blow your hair around, depending on the season! Also take care when crossing the N93 twice.

A beautiful circular walk starting from Thy-le-Château to discover a little of the region's industrial past as well as its natural (countryside and forests) and human (castles, churches, chapels) treasures. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to discover the Marches de l'Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse.

A walk that is half forest, half countryside between the villages of Fraire, Saint-Aubin and Morialmé.The route takes you along paths connecting villages, forest and country lanes, and small country roads. Please be careful not to take any paths or forest lanes that are closed to the public (to preserve the peace and quiet of the wildlife).

Starting from Spy Church, overlooking the square of the same name, the route leads to the small village of Onoz through fields, which can be seen at the bottom of a wooded valley along the Orneau. From there, shaded paths follow the banks of the stream and then explore the Bois de la Veuve and Bois du Bètch-aus-Rotches woods, located on the side of the valley. The route inevitably passes by the Spy Man's cave and the museum dedicated to him.

The Molignée is a small river in Wallonia formed by the confluence of the Biesmerée and Behoûde streams at Ermonton-sur-Biert. This circular walk follows these two streams and the nascent Molignée.

As invigorating as can be in strong winds, this circular walk takes place mainly in the countryside on the agricultural plain between Gembloux, Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Chastre and Sombreffe, bypassing the Docq crossroads (N29 x N93).In our opinion, it is more interesting on the north side than on the south side.You will discover some beautiful isolated trees, some magnificent rows of trees, a few merry-go-rounds, the strange Donjon de Villeret, the (deconsecrated) Église des Alouettes in the middle of nowhere, the Château d'eau de Sombreffe and a park of modern windmills (= wind turbines).

Starting from the church on Rue Joseph Draye in Bothey, a village of 300 inhabitants in the municipality of Gembloux, set off to discover the rich heritage of the lower Orneau valley. Landscapes, churches, chapels and castles will delight you along this undulating route. Alternating wooded and rural passages. Along the roads, the grassy verges are generally flat and well maintained. There are numerous facilities where you can take a break during your walk.

This circular route mainly follows country roads and paths, starting from the Chapelle du Camp chapel. Discover the Château de Cognée, the Ruisseau La Pêcherée stream and its ponds.

A pleasant little walk through the countryside around Mettet.

When the sun and moon are out, the weather is usually ideal for hiking. This walk takes you on a journey of discovery through the Arton and Orneau valleys, starting from the Basse Hollande ponds in Corroy-le-Château. The route passes successively through Les Trois Ponts, La Large Eau, the hamlet of Ferooz, the village of Bossière, as well as the old lime kilns and the Sainte-Barbe Chapel located along the Orneau north of the village of Mazy. A tip for enthusiasts: in spring, the grassy descent between the plateau and the Orneau (between km 8 and 9) is covered with a magnificent carpet of wild garlic.
