Mostly in the countryside, but with a few wooded sections, the route stretches from Biesmerée (S/E) to Maredret, then passes through Ermeton-sur-Biert and the string of ponds formed near the Behoûde stream. This magnificent estate offers a few lakeside lodgings (13).
Along the way, walkers will discover a deer farm and enjoy a beautiful view (8) of Maredret Abbey.
The two bell towers of Maredsous Abbey stand out clearly on the horizon from the country path around km 6.
(12) Hidden in the gardens of enchantment (park of the Benedictine monastery of Ermeton-sur-Biert) is a plant church created by Xavier Grimonprez, an artist with a passion for nature. Access at km 11.5, but by appointment only.
Upstream from the Molignée from Biesmerée
The Molignée is a small river in Wallonia formed by the confluence of the Biesmerée and Behoûde streams at Ermonton-sur-Biert. This circular walk follows these two streams and the nascent Molignée.

It is situated at the northern end of a splendid string of ponds where egrets, ducks, cormorants, herons, geese and swans are sure to make an appearance in every season. And with a bit of luck, the odd roe deer might even emerge from the woods to graze in the middle of a field!
