Park in the car park at the Bouffioulx Pottery Museum.
(S/E) Walk through the village to reach the old railway line at the village outskirts.
(1) Follow this old railway line, which will soon be converted into an independent network of slow-traffic routes (RAVeL), as is already the case further on in the commune of Acoz. You’ll arrive at the Moulin de la Goulette (a former watermill) and the Montrou Cave.
You’ll also pass by the Sébastopol nature reserve, which is open to visitors at certain times of the year. Continue through the Bois d’Acoz to reach Acoz Castle.
(3) Shortly afterwards, leave the RAVeL here, heading right. At the little school, turn left onto a country lane. Follow the Ruisseau de Lormaleau before turning off it, ignoring the roads to the right or left. You’ll reach the road near the Ruisseau de Fagnet; turn right onto it and then turn right onto Rue Jean-Joseph Piret until you reach the next junction.
(4) Leave this street and take the one on the left. At the next junction, turn left again to reach the junction at the ‘village des fraises’.
(5) Turn left onto Rue du Godiassau to reach the ‘village des fraises’.
(6) You return to the previous junction.
(5) Turn left to enter the Tri Gilson neighbourhood. Head right onto Rue du Trieu Gilson, then turn left to cross the Ruisseau du Chârnoi and reach a T-junction.
(7) Leave the narrow roads and head towards the Joncret Wood. Follow this track through the wood until you reach the edge.
(8) You leave the woods and enter the lovely Morlaires neighbourhood.
(9) Turn right to enter the Bois de Fromont. Take Rue du Bois de l’Orvée on the right, then turn left off it onto Rue Longue, arriving at a Y-junction with a small street.
(10) Leave Rue Longue via a small street on the left. Continue along a series of footpaths. You’ll end up on Rue de Vaucelles and turn left onto Rue A. Piérard to return to the pottery museum car park (S/E).
