Basse Hollande, Large Eau and old lime kilns

When the sun and moon are out, the weather is usually ideal for hiking. This walk takes you on a journey of discovery through the Arton and Orneau valleys, starting from the Basse Hollande ponds in Corroy-le-Château.
The route passes successively through Les Trois Ponts, La Large Eau, the hamlet of Ferooz, the village of Bossière, as well as the old lime kilns and the Sainte-Barbe Chapel located along the Orneau north of the village of Mazy.
A tip for enthusiasts: in spring, the grassy descent between the plateau and the Orneau (between km 8 and 9) is covered with a magnificent carpet of wild garlic.

A superb mountain bike ride lasting around 1 hour 20 minutes, with stunning scenery all along the route. The route is pleasant, varied and, above all, very easy to follow, allowing you to enjoy the ride to the full without worrying about getting lost.

The route offers a wonderful immersion in nature, with leafy paths and peaceful spots that make the ride truly enjoyable from start to finish.

One small point to note, however — and this is obviously nobody’s fault — is that the section between point 7 and the finish is currently quite overgrown with nettles and a few brambles. You also need to be careful in this area, as there are four large burrows, probably occupied by badgers.

Despite this, this ride remains a wonderful experience that I’m happy to recommend to mountain bikers and nature lovers alike.

A lovely, very bucolic walk through woods, pastures and fields. Lots of trails, very little tarmac. It's a slight variation on the "Five villages south of Gembloux" walk in this app. Only the starting point is different, or almost. But it solves the problem of the private path on the other walk, as you don't go there. For dogs, there are lots of places where they can run free. My dog loved it, especially as some sections are very muddy at this time of year, she was in seventh heaven ;-)
