Starting point: car park at the Chapelle du Planois, Rue du Planois (opposite number 44) in 5640 Biesme.
Hunting dates see below in the practical information
NB: car park not accessible on the last weekend of August (folkloric walk).
(S/E) The trail starts right next to the chapel. Head towards the countryside and the white sign with a red stripe for the town of Biesme. At thefirst junction with Rue Maistrecocq, turn left and ignore the trail on the right. Head towards the houses.
(1) When you reach the tarmac road, turn right onto Rue Belle Vue towards the woods. At the crossroads formed by Rue Rosimbois and Rue Insebois, continue straight ahead into the cul-de-sac.
(2) After the last house, take the path at the end of the cul-de-sac, which marks the entrance to the forest. Continue straight downhill.
(3) You will reach the Ruisseau de l'Étang du Diable stream. Stay on the same bank (left). The path winds through the woods along the stream. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths or tracks on the left. When you reach a wider path, turn right and continue.
Before reaching the forest exit and its very muddy section, turn left uphill onto the faint trail (which actually cuts across the hairpin bend. Do not head towards the tarmac road leading to the chalets and the pond).
(4) The path climbs back up into the forest, more or less parallel to the fairly deep ditch that runs alongside an old metal fence marking the boundary of a property.
(5) In the last part of the woods, aim for the concrete post where you turn left onto Rue Insebois (tarmac road).
At the next crossroads, turn left onto Rue de Rosimbois.
(6) At the riding school, leave the road and take the path on the right, following the row of trees. Remember to make a wish under the many mistletoe clusters in these trees.
At the next fork, by the large oak tree, turn left to reach the houses in the Belle Vue neighbourhood.
Return to the crossroads from the outward journey.
(1) Cross and continue straight ahead towards the countryside on the same path as on the way there and take the first path on the right which leads to the chapel (S/E).
