Forests, moors and white lands in Brossacais
The route passes through moorland with pine woods and several white clay quarries.
The route starts at the Vallier pond estate and crosses the communes of Passirac, Guizengeard and Boisbreteau.

Etang des belettes
A short circular walk around the Etang des Belettes at the edge of Rioux-Martin village. This walk is perfect for families with children and for dog walkers. Accessible all seasons, it is a great walk to reconnect with nature.
Rioux Martin circular pond loop
At the start of the hike, you will pass through a pretty little village with a remarkable church. The hike continues along a small stream that leads to a very large pond, then through a wooded area, and the end of the hike offers beautiful views of the countryside.
Around the Templar Chapel from Cressac-Saint-Genis
A hilly route with some beautiful scenery and the Templars’ Chapel, which is open to visitors – please enquire at Blanzac town hall or tourist office.
The Cossade and Charbonnière moors
A lovely walk around the ponds in the Landes de la Cossade and de la Charbonnière. This site was mined for its clay of high mineralogical purity in the last century. After the site was abandoned, the four cavities, 30 to 50 metres deep, filled with water. This walk offers peace and a change of scenery. Some of the lakes are magnificent! It’s even more beautiful in the sunshine.

In the Bois Charmants woods - Boscamnant
A gravel and sand track winds its way along the hillsides, which resemble small mountains. The dense forest cascades down the gentle slopes and stretches as far as the eye can see, accompanying walkers into a "wild wilderness".
From the wash houses to the distilleries of Chevanceaux

Between the windmills and the watermills of Péreuil
A lovely route, which passes close to three old windmills and then descends to the banks of the Né and Arce rivers, where there are three watermills. The route then climbs back up through the vineyards before descending again to the banks of the Né. A hilly route with beautiful views.

Around Montchaude
This hike can be enjoyed in all seasons, with paths that are very passable in winter and shaded in summer. Discover the sites of Montchaude, the 16th-century castle, the church rebuilt between 1895 and 1898, the Chapel of Saint-Mathurin lost in the middle of the woods, and many viewpoints along the way.
The European pond turtle trails in Saint-Aigulin – Northern Route
The town of Saint-Aigulin offers a very peaceful and pleasant hiking trail through the forest and countryside.
Known as the ‘Paths of the European Pond Turtle’, this route allows you to explore the habitat of this iconic species and discover its natural environment along a trail dotted with ponds. Numerous information boards are provided throughout the route to help you learn more about the local flora and fauna.
The pond turtle trails in Saint-Aigulin - Southern route
The commune of Saint-Aigulin offers a superb hiking trail through the Double forest, its moors, ponds and village. Biodiversity abounds here, particularly in the summer months, with a heritage species: the European pond turtle. Numerous educational panels are available along the route to learn more about the local flora and fauna. Don't forget your camera!
Discovering the European mink
The town of Saint-Aigulin offers a pleasant walk of a few kilometres through the village. As you stroll along the banks of the Dronne, set off to discover one of its most iconic and endangered inhabitants: the European mink. Informative signs accompany you throughout your walk, helping you to learn more about Saint-Aigulin’s natural and historical heritage.

A beautiful hike through vineyards and woods. Pleasant in summer. A little damp in winter after the point (10) but passable.
From Étriac to the Mainfond hot air balloon site
This is a very beautiful hike with a few hills, and you will often see multicoloured hot air balloons decorating the sky and adding to the enjoyment of the hike.
The Donkey Trail
There’s plenty of variety along this route, which takes you up and down the small hills of Viville. You’ll pass close to the old windmill and alongside an old mill on the River Né.
Hillside route in Plassac-Rouffiac
