Park in the car park of the Juignac municipal hall.
(S/E) Start at the bottom of the square, turn right and walk to the glass recycling bins.
(1) Turn left towards Maumont. Look at the well. Then turn right at the first road, Rue de Sept Quilles, and continue along the path. Keep right at the fork and you will come out onto a small road.
(2) Turn left and follow the road carefully. Turn right at the first path after the embankment, after a field and just before the woods. This path is marked in yellow. After about 200 metres, if the path is very wet, you can go around it on the right via a small passage in the hedge and return to the path a few dozen metres further on your left. Continue along the path, keeping to your left, ignore the paths on the right and arrive at the access road to Champeiroux.
(3) Turn right and 100 metres later, at the T-junction, turn left onto the D709 and follow it very carefully for about 200 metres. Take the first path on the left just before the bend, still marked in yellow. Follow it straight ahead and climb up to the first houses at Épine Grand (bread oven in the buildings on the side of the path).
(4) Take the second path on the left just after the buildings, leaving the yellow markings. When you reach the ruined mill a little further on, stay on the path that turns slightly to the right. When you reach the hamlet of Basset, cross it completely to reach a four-way crossroads.
(5) Turn left and then immediately left again onto a path that descends towards the stream. Just after the stream, turn left onto a grassy path. Follow the stream until you reach a small pond, then turn right and left several times onto the path that zigzags uphill and eventually leads to a road.
(6) Turn right uphill, cross Maine Lafont and then Claudure. At the T-junction, turn left onto the D142.
(7) At the entrance to Saint Germain, before the first buildings, turn right just behind a laurel hedge. You will find the yellow markings again, but they are often removed. Follow the path down through the Bois de Boutraud, go straight ahead at the crossroads, climb back up to the road to admire the Abbey of Maumont.
(8) Turn around and go back down to the crossroads.
(9) Then take the path on the right opposite the signpost for the Way of St James. Follow the path along the hillside (orchid site).
(10) Turn onto the first path on the left, cross the stream and head back up towards the cemetery. Once you have passed it, turn left to return to the municipal car park (S/E).
