Chapelle Notre-Dame de Roubignac via the dolmens at Octon

A short but very pretty hike in the Octon hills, offering views of Lake Salagou at the start. The destination is the small Romanesque chapel of Notre-Dame de Roubignac (7), but there are other places of interest along the way, such as the dolmen and the ruins of Octon Castle, visible from the other side of the valley.
The Béals trail

Set off to explore the village of Salasc, for a refreshing break, and its partly shaded hills, which offer views of the surrounding area and the Salagou valley. The Béals are irrigation channels that have long watered the gardens and are still used today in Salasc.

During this hike, you can discover the remains of the old village of Cabrières at the foot of the castle, the hamlet of Les Crozes, the Tiberet mills and the old paths, known as "drovers' roads" in Occitan.

Cirque de Labeil and its cave

In a limestone circus setting, this circuit climbs to the foot of the cliffs, offering views of the Lodève countryside. After a refreshing stop in the hamlet of Labeil and its converted cave, it continues on the plateau, enters a dark forest, then crosses the limestone plateau amid a chaotic rock formation.

Lou Camin Farrat from Soubès

In Soubès, follow the signs to the hikers' car park near the Impasse des Garennes retirement home. Then simply follow the yellow markings, passing through the botanical trail and then the old salt road, which leads to the foothills of the Larzac. This walk offers breathtaking views of the Cirque du Bout du Monde before returning to our starting point via the Camin Farrat.

The Orb and Bitoulet Valley
A pleasant walk that climbs slightly at the start of this circuit through oak trees, ending at the small Notre Dame de Capimont sanctuary, a true haven of peace and freshness. Overlooking the Orb and Bitoulet valleys, where you will be in the shade during hot weather, a panoramic view awaits you.
Vineyards and volcanoes of Fontès

Part of the route takes you through vineyards and over the Céressou and Baumes volcanoes surrounding Fontès, offering views of the sea.
The Pic de la Coquillade from Cabrerolles

A magnificent hike starting from Cabrerolles, a pretty little village with a 10th-century fortified castle. Inside the castle, you will see the magnificent Notre-Dame de la Roque Chapel.
At the start of the trail, you will find a botanical trail featuring different plant species and other plants, which is great fun for children. Finally, at the top of the Pic de la Coquillade, you will enjoy a splendid 360° view of the Caroux, the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees.
The Cabrerolles Heritage Trail
The Cabrerolles Heritage Preservation Association has cleared forgotten paths to create this hike, which allows you to discover sites that are emblematic of the history of this area: the Chapel of La Liquière, the Lenthéric Mills and a memorial to an Aéropostale aviator. You will also walk among the vines of the famous Faugères vineyard. The route does not pass by Cabrerolles Castle, but we highly recommend extending your hike with a return trip to this magnificent monument.Please note: this hike is not recommended in hot weather as there is not much shade.
Lentheric and Cabrerolles from La Liquière

A pleasant hike through the schistous terroirs of the Faugères wine region, with vines at all altitudes right down to the bottom of the "Meteor" crater.
From the Orb to the Escandorgue via Tibet

This hike starts in Roqueredonde and takes you to the Orb river and the Tibetan Buddhist temple Lerab Ling, where you can take a short meditation break. The route then enters the Escandorgue National Forest, where the charm of the forest paths contrasts with the chaotic dolomitic landscape of the Causse. Finally, the route follows ancient paths worn by passing flocks of sheep.
Cirque du Bout du Monde

South of the Causse du Larzac, the trail runs along a ledge overlooking the hamlet of Gourgas. Halfway up the cirque, a trail enters the woods and rocks and crosses the beds of the small tributaries of the Brèze stream: the Aven, the Figaret and the Rieussec. Below, the valley opens up to reveal a variety of landscapes, including dark ravines and bright meadows watered by numerous springs. The trail reaches the Pioch Blanc and then returns to the hamlet via the Doumergarie bridge.
The Cirque du Bout du Monde

A hike in the foothills of the Larzac plateau overlooking Cirque du Bout du Monde and the village of Gourgas with a return journey via a beautiful forest path.
Le Pas de l'Escalette

A hike in a pleasant valley with plenty of water and the Pas de l'Escalette, a spot steeped in history. The return via the plateau offers a wide view of the surrounding area.
