Start from the large car park on the banks of Lake Salagou.
(S/E) From the car park, turn left to join a path. Follow this path south for 350 m. Join a track and climb through the vineyards until you reach the D 156.
(1) Turn left as you exit, then take the path on the left marked in yellow and pass in front of the Château de la Marguerite.
Take the path on the left (yellow signpost).
(2) Turn left again and continue until you reach a new crossroads, ignoring a path on the left.
(3) Continue on the path on the left to quickly reach the Col de Portes (381m).
(4) Continue left towards Mont Liausson and, as you climb, enjoy the unobstructed view of Lake Salagou. Reach the ridge.
(5) Turn left towards the mountain on a safe path with a view of the lake on your left and, in the distance, the Mediterranean Sea on your right. Reach the summit of Mont Liausson (535m).

(6) Turn right and begin the fairly steep descent, especially in wet weather, on the Chemin des Charbonniers. Little by little, the Cirque de Mourèze comes into view. Ignore the first path on the left, then the second on the right, and reach a new crossroads.
(7) Take the left-hand path and follow the clearly visible yellow markings. You are now in the Cirque de Mourèze. Reach the viewpoint via an extraordinary path and, once at the top, enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Mourèze.
(8) Go back down to reach the road, turn right and follow it through the village.
(9) Just before the town hall, turn right into the village, following the yellow markings, and continue into the cirque.
(10) Continue straight ahead to return to the Col de Portes.
(4) Take the same route as on the way there to return to the car park at the start (S/E).
