Departure from the large car park on the shores of Lake Salagou.
(S/E) From the car park, turn left to join a path. Follow this path south for 350 metres. Join a track and climb through the vineyards until you reach the D 156.
(1) Turn left, then take the path on the left marked in yellow and pass in front of the Château de la Marguerite.
Take the path on the left (yellow markings).
(2) Follow this path, which gradually turns into a trail, and continue for about 1.5 kilometres.
(3) When you reach the crossroads, take the left-hand path marked in yellow; climb this path to the summit, which has rocky sections and high steps.
At the summit, follow the yellow-marked ridge path, continuing along the undulating ridge with a series of small ascents and descents.
Take care on the descent, especially if it has rained.
(4) Descend for 400 to 500 metres, watching out for the small path that branches off to the right (difficult to see if you're not paying attention). A small cairn on the ground marks it.
Follow this path for 700 metres, then you will come to a fork in the path. Take the right-hand path, which is the main one.
Climb to the top and you will pass over to the other side. The landscape is magnificent and you will see the dolomitic cirque of Moureze unfold before you. Follow this path to a three-way junction, where you turn right.
(5) Continue until you reach another fork in the path, turn left at the next fork and left again. You are now in the heart of the dolomitic cirque, surrounded by huge boulders and a series of rocks to climb over (it's easy).
Follow the blue and green signs (these are the markers for the Moureze cirque hiking trail). Keep following the "green and blue" signs until you reach the end of the trail. When you leave the Dolomites circuit, be careful not to go all the way to Moureze. You will need to turn right (this is the return leg of the blue circuit, which you will need to take in the opposite direction).
(6) Follow a beautiful path that climbs gently. In wet weather, take care on the rocks. Continue for about a kilometre and a half until you leave the path onto a track.
(7) Turn right and climb back up to the crossroads where you passed on the way up to Mont Liausson.
(3) At the crossroads, go straight ahead and descend to the road, then continue in the opposite direction to the path you took on the way up to return to the car park. (S/E)
