The car park is located at the Cave d'Estabel in Cabrières.
(S/E) Opposite the winery, turn right onto Avenue de Clermont and drive through the village. Continue straight ahead on the D15 (drive carefully).
(1) At the end of the straight road, before the bridge, leave the road on the left. Cross the car park (signposted "les crêtes de Vissou"), cross the Boyne stream (if the ford is impassable, continue along the road and turn left 200m after the bridge onto the track). Continue along the path. Climb up opposite through the vineyards towards Pic de Vissou. Stay on the main track and continue until you reach a junction.
(2) Head right, passing a ruined cottage. A few metres further on, climb left up a well-maintained path and reach a vineyard. Follow the vineyard and then climb up through the undergrowth along an old path. Come out of the undergrowth, facing the Col de Mourèze.
(3) Turn left and climb up to the ridge towards the Pic de Vissou (watchtower), joining a well-marked path. Continue climbing until you reach a track; take it to the left and head for the summit.
(4) Keep right, follow the ridge (be careful near the cliffs) and descend to the pass (stay on the trail, follow the markings carefully). Cross the track and pass the paragliding launch site. Further on, you will reach the entrance to the model aircraft field (private property).
(5) Go around the field on the right and follow a fence.
(6) Pass the Col de l'Âne and follow a well-marked path along the ridge.
(7) Leave the Pic de Vissounel on your left, then descend (slippery slabs).
(8) At the end of the descent (before a slab), turn left and enter the undergrowth. Further on, descend to the right along the vineyards. Reach a path facing the Boyne. Continue left for a few metres, then climb left up the track below the Vissounel. Take a path between the vineyards and continue along a track.
(9) Enter a path on the left in the undergrowth. Walk under the Pic de Vissou in an old cedar and pine plantation, opposite the paragliding landing area. Find a track between the vines, then cross a ford over the Boyne. Head left for 150m.
(10) Turn right between the vineyards towards the rock faces. Pass a small farmhouse and a plot of olive trees. Cross the dry waterfall of the Estabel.
(11) On the left, climb up a path and cross a low wall. Turn left, pass a drystone shelter and join a track on the Estabel plateau. Head left, cross the D124 and take the track opposite. Continue under a vineyard, then through the woods. Descend left on a path and join a road (D124).
(12) Turn right towards the village, cross a bridge and climb up to the right. Continue straight ahead on Avenue de l'Estabel through the houses. Descend to the left onto Rue de la Liberté, continue on Rue de l'Église. Pass the Saint-Étienne church on your right. Opposite the town hall, turn right onto Avenue de Clermont and return to the starting point (S/E).
