Ascent of the Roche de Solutré
A family hike offering magnificent views of the Mâconnais vineyards and, if the sky is clear, much further afield towards the Mont Blanc Massif.
Roche Coche, La Belouse, Escolles, Vanzé from Verzé
From Verzé, in the Haut Mâconnais, this circular route winds its way through vineyards and woods. First, we climb towards Échanault to reach Roche Coche via Champ de la Boivine. The Roche Coche orientation table offers a beautiful view of the Val Lamartine, the Roche de Solutré and, in the distance, the Hauts du Beaujolais. Next, head back up towards Les Bruyères, then descend to Chanaud and turn north-east towards Escolles and Vanzé to return to Verzé.

The Montmain Cross
Marked route in the hills above Verzé, between Mâcon and Cluny.
Starting from the Rampon quarry, you will cross the woods of Verzé and then climb up to the Croix Montmain. You will follow the Chemin des Chevaliers (GR®) with a magnificent view of the Val Lamartinien and the castle of Berzé-le-Chatel. On the way back, you will cross the hamlet of Les Tardys. The circular route ends with a picturesque path offering views of the pastures.

From Col de la Percée to Mont Saint-Romain
A pleasant walk offering beautiful landscapes and viewpoints, between forest and meadows bordered by low dry-stone walls. The steepness is very gradual on the first part of the walk, allowing you to reach the summit of Mont Saint-Romain without any particular difficulty. On the return journey, the slopes are steeper, but never unmanageable. A perfect walk for those who want a good outing but don't want to put too much strain on their legs.
Circular Culey starting from Blanot
A beautiful, undulating route that will take you along a newly marked trail through the municipal woodlands of Blanot, offering some very pretty views, and through the Combe du Nivernais.
It continues along the Grison with its old mills before climbing up to Culey and reaching the shade of the woods on the Faitral path, which offers glimpses of the Grosne valley in places.
Circular walk between Blanot and Cortambert
This walk will take you from the Grison Valley to the Grosne Valley, climbing the slopes of the Bois de la Roche. The narrowness of the former will prepare you for the vast expanse of the latter. History will accompany your every step, with a deanery and castles adorning each of their slopes.
