Description of the walk

Park in the car park in front of the Jean de La Fontaine School.

(S/E) Turn your back on the school and follow the gravel path that runs alongside the children's playgrounds and joins Rue du Parc. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and turn right to reach the crossroads and enjoy a beautiful view of Château du Parc.

(1) Retrace your steps and walk up Rue du Parc using the pavement. Cross Rue du Bourg, then turn right (pavement) and follow it to the junction with Rue de Beausoleil.

(2) Cross carefully at the pedestrian crossing, then turn left onto the cycle path that runs alongside the road. Go to the triangular junction with Rue de Châtenay, turn right onto Rue de Châtenay and cross the motorway. Follow the road, which has no pavement from Rue des Grands Perrets onwards, pass the Clos Pélerin junction and continue straight on to Château de Châtenay.

(3) Go back about 50 metres and turn right onto Impasse du Châtenay: no pavement. At the end of the cul-de-sac, continue along a dirt track and go to the T-junction.

(4) Turn left, join Rue du Clos Pélerin and turn right. Cross back over the motorway via Rue de Veyle.

(5) Turn right onto Rue du Clos Briaud, then take the path on the left that crosses the communal orchard. Then turn right and follow the path leading to Rue des Champs Fleuris (pavement). Turn left, then right onto Rue du Vieux Château until you reach the D103, Route de Sennecé. Cross carefully and turn right towards Château Lapalus park.

(6) Go back to Rue du Vieux Château and return to Rue des Champs Fleuris. Turn right, negotiate the bend and turn right onto Rue Hector Berlioz to reach Rue du Bourg.

(7) Cross at the pedestrian crossing, turn left and walk past the car park of the village hall. Then take the first street on the right to return to the car park in front of the Jean de La Fontaine School (S/E).
