The route starts from Saint-André Church in Bagé-le-Châtel.
(S/E) Walk past the church and join the D2. Turn right, then left onto the first road. Keep the buildings on your left until you reach a track at L’Écottay.
(1) Turn left, then take the track on the right. Continue straight on at the cross, then turn left at the next fork to rejoin the road.
(2) Continue straight ahead. Keep right at the Y-junction. Cross the Ruisseau de Montépin and continue to the hamlet of the same name.
(3) Leave the road to the left until you reach the path leading to Mifavre. Then take it to the right. Keep right again at the crossroads, then, at the next one, turn left to reach the entrance to the Égrefeuille chapel.
(4) Continue, pass Les Pottets and turn left towards La Petite Loëze. Cross the stream and take a left-hand bend, then, at the end of the next bend, take the track on the left to reach Château de la Griffonnière.
(5) Continue, keep left at the Y-junction and then take the first right. At the houses by the Étang des Cornes, ignore the two paths on the left to reach the first houses of Bâgé-le-Chatel.
(6) Turn sharply left. Stay on the track on the left at the end of the street and cross the river. You will then come to the Route de la Bresse. Follow it to the right until you reach the D2.
(7) Turn right. Cross the river again, then turn left onto the rampart walk and pass in front of the castle.
(8) Stay on the path. At the end, turn left onto the Grande Rue, then left again onto the Route des Replonges. At the junction, turn left onto Rue Père Chalon. Cross the stream again, then continue straight ahead before turning left towards the cemetery and the church (S/E).
