Gorges du Verdon - Sentier Blanc-Martel
A beautiful walk up the Verdon by its bed ! A feast for the eyes from start to finish !
⚠️The Sentier Martel is not very difficult for regular walkers, but you have to be careful. However, the trickiest part is the Imbert ladders (6 ladders, 252 steps), which are difficult for hikers prone to vertigo.
The difference in altitude is overestimated. See comments at the bottom of this page
Lac de Sainte-Croix - Tour de Bauduen
Here I suggest a variation on a route in Bauduen that is already on the site. The start is more easily accessible for hikers coming from the north. This variation also avoids the rocky area to the north-west of the route while offering beautiful views of Lake Sainte-Croix.

The medieval village of Cotignac
The medieval village of Cotignac is one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" and was voted "France's Favourite Village" in 2022. The impressive Tuf Rock and its troglodyte dwellings, the Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Grâces, the old 16th and 17th century houses lining the narrow streets, the Cours Gambetta with its beautiful façades and plane trees, the 17th century Church of Notre Dame de l'Annonciation, the Grand-Rue, the Town Hall Square, the 17 fountains and the two 14th-century towers are the main attractions in Cotignac. A beautiful circular loop for admiring the Gorges du Verdon in a more intimate way and from different viewpoints. Sumptuous panoramic views of the Grand Canyon and Colle de Breïs and, of course, Point Sublime. A challenging route, well suited to trail runners: it climbs for most of the route but with a reasonable gradient. Then comes a short but fairly steep descent, which proved less difficult than it looked.
