Tour of Saint-Étienne-Cantalès
Starting from Saint-Étienne-Cantalès, this is a short, easy route with little road traffic but a variety of paths.
Tour of the Espinet Peninsula
In the commune of Saint-Gérons, on the banks of the Saint-Étienne-Cantalès dam lake, a footpath circles the Presqu’île d'Espinet. This path is right at the water's edge and a little narrow between points (3) and (4): it is best to avoid pushchairs.
The Sentier de Belles Vues (Trail of Beautiful Views) from Omps
Starting from the small village of Omps in the Cantal chestnut groves, this walk between plateaus and valleys offers beautiful views of the Monts du Cantal, with visits to hamlets with remarkable buildings.
Along the Etze and Bertrande rivers
A lovely, easy hike through bucolic countryside, along and above the water, almost entirely shaded by tall trees. Beautiful views. Swimming possible. Near Saint-Illide, Arnac and Pleaux.
Puy Courny and ridges: mountains in the city
Short urban walk along the Jordanne, then into the Cantal mountains, a stone's throw from the centre of Aurillac. Beautiful views of Aurillac and the Chaîne des Puys.
There are herds of livestock and electric fences. Dogs are not allowed.
Loop around Notre-Dame de Belpeuch
A loop, mainly through woods, starting from the charming and picturesque sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Belpeuch, which means "the beautiful mountain". Located in the heart of the Xaintrie, it contains a magnificent statue of the Virgin Mary, dating from the 15th century. There are a few steep slopes, but the walk is pleasant. Good walking shoes are necessary.
The Girgols Plateau
A magnificent tour on the plateau where the village of Girgols is located. A short stretch of tarmac road at the beginning, then paths and fields.
From the hamlet of La Bastide, you are in a wild, solitary and magnificent world.
Circular Cendrassou in Saint-Cirgues
Explore the hills of Saint-Cirgues on this hike. The trail passes through chestnut groves, crosses the Ruisseau Noir stream and offers views of the Haut-Ségala plateaus. As you walk, you will discover the diversity of the landscapes and the ecological richness of this region.
Route of the two mills around Saint-Cirgues
Follow the paths through the hills of Saint-Cirgues to discover the remains of the water mills along the Veyre (on the border between Lot and Cantal). Throughout the hike, you will find signs highlighting the vernacular architecture of the Ségali region. Although mainly through forest, the walk still offers beautiful panoramic views of Aveyron and Cantal.
Les Moulinots
Walk along the Xaintrie Noire and Gabariers trails in the shady undergrowth between the Roche and Clauzel streams. The trail is marked in yellow throughout and numbered (6).

The Salins Waterfall
A very pleasant short walk to discover the Salins waterfall, the Monzola stream and the village of Salins, mostly in the shade of the undergrowth. There are many points of interest along the route to keep children interested (waterfall, rope bridge, river, etc.).
