Start from the Pleaux fairground; the car park is huge and includes a free area for motorhomes.
(S/E) Head to Place d’Empeyssine and turn left at the recycling bins. Turn left again and follow the road past the community centre and the grocery shop (Rue des Moulergues).
(1) After 300 m, at the junction of two roads, take the grassy path straight ahead under the trees and follow the blue arrow. The path runs alongside a bridle path on the right and then leads onto a stony track.
Turn left until you reach a tin hut.
(2) Take the small path on the right just before the hut; at the next junction, turn left (blue arrow) and follow the path down through the woodland to the Ruisseau des Moulergues.
(3) 40 m after the wooden footbridge, turn right onto the path that climbs through the woods. At the top of the hill, the path passes between two meadows.
(4) At the crossroads, turn right and follow the path for 1.5 km through the woods to the stream, which is crossed by a double footbridge. Walk back up to the road.
(5) Continue to the right for 700 m (this is the route of the Pleaux hill climb) until you come to a path on the left.
(6) Leave the road and turn left. Further up, cross the road and continue along the same path which climbs between two walls towards Pleaux. When you reach the first houses, take the road on the right and follow it until you reach the fork you passed on the way out.
(1) Take the road on the left which leads back to the Foirail car park (S/E).
