Bonrepos-sur-Aussonelle and Lias from Fontenilles
Circular, mainly in the forest or forest edge, with relatively little asphalt. May be muddy in places (field edges and tractor tracks) after rain. Some beautiful views of Lias, Bonrepos-sur-Aussonelle and the Toulouse plain.
The pilgrim's path in Boulaur
A rural circuit through the valleys of the Gers, starting from Boulaur. The village is known for its abbey, which is open to visitors and offers local products.
Menville loop
Menville is a pleasant little village on the left bank of the Save. The river meanders lazily through green meadows. Pretty houses with carefully tended gardens are grouped around the bell tower. The residents of Menville enjoy the peace and quiet and proximity to nature. Country roads lead to beautiful old farms, which everyone takes pride in maintaining and improving.
Loop in Bouconne Forest via the leisure centre and Lac de la Bordette
Route through the Bouconne National Forest. No particular difficulty as this hike has very little elevation gain. Very shaded route, perfect for summer family hikes.
The Hourontan path
At a place called Le Chalet, you will discover an exceptional panorama of the Pyrenees and the village. The Bois de la Paguère is a haven of coolness on summer days. Further on, before reaching the Domaine des Claux, the Bois de Labesse and the valley you will walk along are also places of beauty and serenity. A quick visit to Castelnau-Barbarens is a must before you leave.
The Solomiac dovecote trail
Throughout this hike, you can admire the multitude of dovecotes, each one different. The trail takes you back to the bastide town along the banks of the Gimone and ends at the wash house.
Large loop of Faget-Abbatial
At the start, you can admire the Cistercian church of Saint-Sauveur and, higher up, the abbey house (private property). The rest of the walk is a classic country hike where you will discover the hillsides of the Gers, the Lauze valley, the unmissable duck farm and, if you are lucky, three little donkeys will come to say hello. This route is very well signposted (yellow).
The orchid trail in Simorre
The path climbs towards the high hills of Astarac, crosses the Bois d'Aguin and is embellished with wild orchids in season.
Chemin du Yané, southern section
A beautiful hike between rivers, woods, meadows and fields around Simorre. The first part follows the Gimone Valley, along fields and through woods, then returns along the ridges with beautiful panoramic views.
Chemin du Yané - Long loop
A beautiful loop with very pleasant paths on the edge of the forest. Beautiful panoramic views await you, including a superb view of the village of Simorre and its fortified church. On the circuit, you will find a sculpture by Japanese artist Teruhisa symbolising the roof.
The Sentier à p'Art in Simorre
A walk for young and old, dotted with five works of art. Grand circular of Le Burgaud
Le Burgaud, a name that recalls the heather that once covered its territory, is a rural commune where the first hillsides of Gascony begin. Traces of six Gallo-Roman villas have been found in the village. It was founded in 1124 by Lord Bertrand de Cobirac, who ceded the territory to the Knights of St John of Jerusalem, who held a commandery there until 1789. The fortified village was clustered around the church and the Commande fortified house.

Le Rabe and the Sabatouse Lakes
Starting from the village of Longages, this route invites you to discover the historical heritage of the centre and then its lakes. Don't miss the Art Deco market hall: there are only two of this type left in France! Lake Sabatouse offers you the tranquillity of a natural setting with many birds nesting or passing through. Along the lake, you will find picnic tables and a fitness trail with a small climbing wall for children. In summer, the water sports centre offers canoeing, kayaking and XXL paddleboarding, while the guinguette treats you to meals and a musical programme.
