Park in the car park in front of the post office in Sainte-Foy-de-Peyrolières.
(S/E) Turn your back on the town hall and church and walk to the water tower. The walk follows theGR®86but there are a few variations on the ground. At the water tower, turn right onto Chemin des Crabères and when the road ends, follow the shaded path on the left that descends towards the Trujol riverbed. Cross the small wooden bridge on the right and begin the climb to the hamlet of En Castagné.
(1) When the tarmac replaces the path, continue straight on Chemin d'En Castagné, ignoring the path on the left, which is the return route. Continue to the next crossroads.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin du Moulin de Rouaix until you reach a T-junction where you will see benches on the left.
(3) Turn left onto Chemin de Bourrieu and continue straight ahead with the Pyrenees in front of you.
(4) When the road bends, leave it and take the path that continues along the road. When the path bends, turn left and go down to the Ruisseau des Secs. There is a footbridge made of beams on the right or a ford on the left. Then go back up to the road with the relay tower at the crossroads.
(5) Go around the tower and take the Péguilhan road on the left. Follow this road to the junction with the Rieumes road.
(6) Cross carefully as there is traffic. Take the path opposite that follows the Ruisseau de la Saudrune and runs along the left bank of the lake.
(7) Continue along the lake shore, then follow the path up the dyke to the pumping station in the middle.
(8) After enjoying the view, turn around and retrace your steps in the opposite direction.
(7) Take the path on the right, ignoring the warning sign, as this path passes near the Ruggieri-Lacroix company, which manufactures fireworks. Continue straight ahead, go through the gate and ford the Ruisseau des Secs stream. Continue through the woods until you come out and rejoin the road that leads to the Rieumes road.
(9) Cross this road again, taking care, and take the shaded path opposite, which leads to the hamlet of En Castagné after a short climb through the woods.
(1) Leave the road and take the dirt track on the right, which leads back to the centre of the village. This is the same path you took on the way there, which descends towards the Ruisseau du Trujol stream and then climbs back up towards the water tower.
When you reach the water tower after a fairly steep climb, turn left onto Rue de Saint-Jude to reach the post office (A/D).
