Park in the car park in front of Empeaux Town Hall.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn left onto Avenue du 19 Mars 1962 (D58) and go down to the roundabout with the community centre on your left.
(1) Turn left onto Soulan du Padouenc, which leads to the Empeaux dirt route, and continue to the hamlet of Pountets.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin Neuf and climb up to the tarmac road.
(3) Turn left and follow Route d'En Mariolle, which overlooks the Azimont stream flowing in the hollow on the left. The road changes name as it crosses the department and commune boundaries, becoming Route de Laquère then Route d'Engoufielle. Continue straight on to the Azimont lookout point, where the road forms a Y, and enjoy the view.
(4) Turn left and descend along the water reservoir on the Azimont stream. The road arrives at another Y-junction.
(5) Continue to the right and go to the Larribaut mill, passing over the two branches of the Ruisseau de la Boulouze.
(6) Turn around after seeing the old water mill and return to the Y-shaped fork.
(5) Take the road on the left and start climbing towards Peyrigué. Pass in front of the small chapel and continue towards the Peyrigué lodge. Follow the road, which is slightly uphill and becomes the Route de Saint-Lys (D58K) as you enter Haute Garonne.
(7) Before the last isolated house on the left, take the dirt track that branches off diagonally to the left and marks the border between Gers and Haute Garonne. The track descends to the bed of the Ruisseau du Pinon stream and then climbs back up towards the village of Empeaux. At the top of the climb, tarmac replaces dirt in the hamlet of La Rivière.
Continue to the cemetery.
(8) Turn right into Allée de l'Église. Climb up alongside the cemetery and then the church, and continue with the château behind you to arrive at the car park at the start in front of the town hall (S/E).
