La Chaussaire walks

This route will allow you to discover the natural riches of La Chaussaire, with a short stop on the way back at the Grotto of Lourdes de la Chaussaire, next to the parish church of Saint-Joseph-en-Mauges.

All along the way, you will find the remains of old wash houses, which also served as laundry rooms where local residents used to wash their clothes. You can cross the Sanguèze via a small bridge or by fording the river, passing the remains of an old wash house. The route also takes you through gently rolling farmland.
