Around the Pot at Le Fuilet

Park in the car park of the Fuilet town hall, then follow the yellow signs.

(S/E) Take Rue de la Mairie, turning left in front of La Mie du Potier bakery and continue to the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout, then continue straight on to the grassy path. Head into the woods.

(1) First turn left then right between woods, hedgerows and fields, then rejoin the tarmac road, Rue du Bois Chéri.

(2) Turn right, then follow the tarmac road until you reach the stop sign.

(3) Take the left-hand lane, then turn right at the second junction onto Route de Saint-Christophe, following the houses. Continue to the Barbotine pond, located on the left-hand side of the road.

(4) Walk along the pond on your right until you reach the other side, then turn left away from it. At the crossroads, turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach the houses. Continue to the crossroads.

(5) Turn left, ignore the first left and then take Rue des Recoins on the left in front of the Maison du Potier. Follow the street until the next intersection with Chemin des Orchidées.

(6) Turn right, then right again at the crossroads. Ignore Rue du Quartier and Rue de l'Étang on your right. Continue to Rue des Ajoncs.

(7) Turn right to reach the Chapelle des Recoins chapel on your right. Continue in the same direction, staying on Rue des Petits Prés, then turn right towards the undergrowth to reach the D143.

(8) Turn left at the intersection onto the tarmac road. Continue past the Taillis, then turn right onto the path. At the woods, follow the path opposite until the next intersection.

(9) Turn right onto the path, then follow the hedgerows. You will reach the crossroads just after two ponds on your left.

(10) Continue straight ahead, pass another pond on your right and continue to the D17.

(11) Cross carefully, follow the path on the right for about 150 metres, then turn right onto the tarmac road and continue to the houses.

(12) Turn left, pass in front of the farm, then continue through the bocage. At the next intersection, turn right, approach the tarmac road called Rue du Paradis, which you reach by turning left.

(13) Take this street on the right, then turn right onto Rue des Sports and continue to the roundabout. Turn left, passing the bakery again, to reach the car park of the Fuilet town hall (S/E).

(4) The Barbotine lake is a must-see spot for relaxation and leisure. There is something for everyone here: walks around the lake, picnics in the shade of the trees, a playground for the little ones, or a friendly break with friends.
