This walk starts in the hamlet of L'Èvre (recreational area on the banks of the Èvre).
To get there from the church: take the road towards Fief Sauvin (or the school), pass the road that leads to the school. Take the first road on the left and go straight down towards the Èvre.
The route is marked in yellow.
(S/E) Head south and follow the river on your left. The path then climbs up the hillside and leads to a sunken path that descends to the left towards a ford.
(1) As you pass, note the "Gué Pavé de Point" (a pretty and remarkable ford) on your left. Follow the path that passes La Roussière and follow the yellow markings.
(2) When you reach Chemin du Pointreau, turn left, pass to the right of the hamlet and continue to the Bralles dam, which used to supply an old water mill.
(3) Continue to the right across the field along the Èvre to the next ford.
(4) Cross the ford over the Abriard stream, continue along the path to the Tournerie road and descend to the left.
(5) Turn left to cross the Guicholet ford, which allows you to cross the Èvre. The path climbs the hillside towards Route du Chillou, which you should take on the right.
(6) At the Croix Blanche calvary (a historic site from the War in the Vendée), turn left and follow the road that passes through the hamlet of La Gerfaudière.
(7) Leave this road and follow the path on the left that leads to Haut Bégrolle. Turn right onto the road that descends.
(8) At the Croix des Martyrs (historic site of the Vendée wars), take the path on the left that descends towards the Èvre. At a place called La Pétonnière, turn left.
(9) Take thefirst street on the left and go down to the new Raz Gué footbridge, cross the Èvre and follow the path that goes up to the school.
(10) At the roundabout, opposite the school, cross to the left onto the lawn and take the street on the left that descends to a place called Chambre Neuve. Turn right into the alleyway that descends towards the Èvre. Follow the yellow markings and return to the starting point (S/E).
