Start at Place des Peupliers in Gesté.
Follow the blue markings throughout the walk.
(S/E) Cross Rue du Souvenir and head down to the Sanguèze.
(1) Head back up the Sanguèze on the left until you reach Rue d’Anjou, cross over, then take Impasse Chasserat by turning left and immediately right. Walk down and cross the Sanguèze at the ford. Then turn right and follow the river. Continue for 600m along the fields on the path running alongside the Sanguèze. Continue along the path after the waste collection centre
(2) Cross the bridge then wade across the Sanguèze. Turn left onto the small path and follow the D67 for 150m. Cross the D67 to the right with care. Pass between the buildings at the hamlet of Le Quarteron then turn left. At the Y-junction, turn right.
(3) 250m further on, turn right onto the dirt track leading to the hamlet of La Hémerie. Go round the hamlet, staying on the dirt track on the left. Stay on Chemin de l’Hémerie until you reach Rue de Vendée and follow it to the left for about 50 metres.
(4) Turn right into the green corridor, then continue along this path and cross three streets. Turn right at thethird street (Rue des Menuisiers). Follow this until the junction with Rue de la Garenne,
(5) Turn right for 30 metres, cross the street and follow the footpath to the left to the church, Place Mr Dupont. Then walk down Rue du Souvenir until you return to Place des Peupliers (S/E).
