Refine your search for walks in Cénevières
Four villages, two castles and a river

Four villages, each with its own unique character:
- Cénevières and its magnificent castle
- Calvignac, perched on the cliff
- Larnagol, nestled in a hollow in the cliff
- La Toulzanie, a troglodyte village
The River Lot flows between these four villages, with a path climbing up the cliff on the left bank and remaining on the plain on the right bank.
The Chemin du Bout du Monde in Larnagol

This beautiful hike will take you past the stunning Font Nègre spring to the Bout du Monde (End of the World) viewpoint, which offers magnificent views.
Note dated 25/02/2023: following the closure of the communal path that bypassed the Castanet farmhouse on the left, a new communal path has been created. It bypasses the farmhouse on the right and is now correctly signposted. The description has been amended accordingly.
The banks of the Lot in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
This walk allows you to discover Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, the River Lot and its towpath, then the limestone plateau above the village. I also suggest a shorter alternative route.
Loop above the meanders of the Lot between Saint-Géry and Vers

This hike, along cliff-top paths, offers superb views of several meanders of the Lot, which you will cross. Several small locks are used by pleasure boats. The descent to Vers allows you to discover the village and its river of the same name with its port at the confluence with the Lot.
Circuit of wells and wash houses from Aujols

Wells, wash houses, gariottes (dry stone shepherd's huts), abbey ruins, remains of a fortification and a cluster of old rural houses are the main attractions of this rich and varied walk, which is very typical of the Lot region's heritage.
The Cirque de Bône

This path follows the edge of the Aveyron river and then goes around the Cirque de Bône. There are several viewpoints from which you can admire the Aveyron valley and the limestone cliffs.
Moulin du Saut and Moulin de Tournefeuille mills

Beautiful course, above and in the Alzou valley, visiting two mills: the Moulin du Saut (fortified mill of the 12th century) and the Moulin de Tournefeuille.
The pilgrim

With a magnificent overview of the landscapes of the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park around Rocamadour, this hike takes you into a breathtaking site at the heart of a thousand-year-old pilgrimage dedicated to the Virgin Mary, a major Christian site since the Middle Ages and classified as a Grand Site d'Exception in the Midi-Pyrénées region.
Siran. Cascade d'Autoire. Bonnefont Marais and fountains.
A lovely hike beginning at the viewing point of the Cascade d'Autoire and the Château des Anglais and which, at the halfway point, crosses the Marais de Bonnefont.
Penne Bruniquel loop

A beautiful rollercoaster route in the heart of nature. From woodland to plateaus, you will walk along paths on either side of the Aveyron between two remarkable medieval villages.
The outward journey takes you along unmarked but easily recognisable paths that are rarely used.
The return journey is entirely on theGR®46trail, marked in red and white, and is easy to follow.
Les Suquets de Penne

From the rock village of Penne, the circuit takes hikers to the Suquets viewpoint.
Countryside and forests share the multifaceted landscape of limestone cliffs.
Steep climbs and descents will delight the more athletic walkers.
The end of the route is a peaceful walk along the Aveyron river before a final short climb at the foot of the village.
Treasure hunt in Vindrac-Alayrac

Near Cordes-sur-Ciel, a small village awaits you to discover its history and its Merovingian necropolis. Along the paths and small roads, you can take part in an interactive treasure hunt. The safe and its secret await you.
Loop to the south of Cordes-sur-Ciel

This loop allows you to visit the Chapelle Saint-Jean, an endearing place with a strong link to the history of Cordes-sur-Ciel.
The tour ends in the tourist centre of the bastide town of Cordes for a well-deserved visit and break.
