Park in Cajarc, at the Tourist Office.
(S/E) When you leave, head towards Saint-Cirq-Lapopie via Avenue de La Capelette.
(1) At the bend, follow theGR®®65on the right (red and white markings). After about 500 m, the road gives way to a path on the left that climbs up the cliff.
(2) Pass in front of the cave which, after heavy rain, gives rise to a waterfall visible from the village. (We were lucky enough to see this during our stay). Continue following theGR®® for about 4 km.
(3) Leave theGR®® on your right, continue straight ahead for 50 m and take the path on the left that descends into the Combe de Girons. Turn left at the next intersection, following the yellow markings.
(4) After 1 km, turn left onto the path that goes uphill.
(5) At the top of the hill, just before the small road, take the path on the right, then descend and take the first path on the left. This path curves sharply to the left and the climb is quite steep until you reach Roc Trauquat.
(6) Continue to the road, where you turn right for 200 m and then turn left onto the path at La Cazelle.
(7) Go around the house on the left and descend. At an intersection, continue to the left. Follow the path that climbs back up and joins a road after 1 km.
(8) Take this road on the left. At the crossroads, continue straight on to Roc Rouge.
(9) Continue on the path opposite, which descends and rejoins the GR®65 taken at the start.
(10) Turn left and take the path back to the car park where you started (S/E).
