Bouxwiller walks

An easy hike through the Hanau region, taking in rolling countryside and orchards. Pretty farms and half-timbered houses in Ringendorf, Buswiller and Issenhausen.

In the Neuwiller-lès-Saverne - Weiterswiller - La Petite Pierre triangle, discover a Buddhist temple, the Grotte d'Amour (Cave of Love), Hunebourg Castle and the ruins of Herrenstein Castle.

This circuit allows you to discover the ruins of Herrenstein Castle, the Hoelzernerbrunnen spring, Hunebourg Castle and the Roches trail before gently descending to the Zinsel valley and encountering the Highlands Catlles

A pleasant hike to stretch your legs. Ideal in early May when nature is waking up. Passes by an impressive rocky outcrop (beautiful view) and caves. A beautiful hike that passes by Hunebourg Castle and the ruins of Herrenstein Castle. Lots of lovely views. The paths are very clean and well marked. 

A pleasant hike of moderate difficulty, culminating in the magnificent Lichtenberg Castle. You will walk mainly on paths and through a deciduous forest, enjoying the early spring sunshine but staying in the shade in summer.

This walk along paths and forest roads is shaded, very easy and suitable for children. It offers some beautiful rocks and a castle ruin (you have to use your imagination here). This circular route follows much of the same path on the way there and back.

A short hike that can be enjoyed with the whole family. It will allow you to immerse yourself in the rich history and discover the many beliefs of the Saverne region, from prehistory to the present day. You will enjoy magnificent views of the woods and forests of the Northern Vosges, as well as the Alsace plain and the Kochersberg.

This circular, which presents no technical difficulties, will take you through pretty spots dotted with beautiful rocks, notably the Grotte d'Amour. Of reasonable length, it is a pleasant walk to be done in half a day.

Discover the Roches Plates climbing site, the Heidenstadt oppidum, the Spitzfelsen and Kanzelfels rocks, the medieval quarry and menhirs at Frohnberg, Warthenberg Castle and the Daubenschlag rock, the Roman road, the Wasserfallfelsen, the Fairy Cave, the Witches' Circle and Saint-Michel Chapel. Beautiful views of the Northern Vosges and the Alsace plain.

Discover the Château de Greifenstein, where two beautiful towers can still be seen. Visit the Grotte Saint-Vit, a vast natural excavation in sandstone, overlooking a plateau where a magnificent alpine garden has been laid out. An astonishing view of the Château de Hohbarr awaits you!

A hundred-kilometre circular starting from Saverne, passing along the old Saverne–Romanwiller–Molsheim railway line, then following the Bruche Canal to Strasbourg, before returning via the Marne-Rhine Canal.

This hike, tested on 15/01/2022, takes us to the Pierre des Douze Apôtres (Breitenstein), marking the border between Alsace and Moselle. This stone dates back to the time of the Druids and was used for sacrifices before being gradually transformed by Christianisation. The hike follows forest paths through the forests of the Northern Vosges.
