Start at the junction of Rue d’Oberhof and Rue des Comtes de Rosen; there is a car park at the start of this street. Another possible starting point is the car park at the village exit on Rue d’Oberhof.
Follow the Yellow Ring markings throughout the hike.
(S/E) Follow Rue d’Oberhof towards the village exit, heading west, following the Blue Rectangle and White Rectangle markings. At the Schweyer Mill, just past the water pumping station, take the path on the right, heading east, which climbs towards the forest.
(1) Take the circular path that goes to the right, towards the old Gauxberg quarry. At the next junction, continue by taking the path on the right, heading north-east. Ignore a turn-off to the right and another to the left; on leaving the forest, you will reach Kugelberg.
(2) Take the road on the right for about a hundred metres, then continue in this direction. As you come out of the bend, take the path that leads downhill. At the junction with a wide track, turn right, heading south, to reach Dossenheim at the bend in a small road.
Enjoy the view towards Neuwiller-lès-Saverne (north-east), towards the Bartberg (east), and towards Dossenheim (south-east).
(3) 20m after the bend, take the steps (southwards) to reach the housing estate. Walk down Rue de la Forêt, then turn right into Rue du Herrenstein for about 50m. Turn left, walk down Rue des Vosges to the junction with Rue du Hunebourg.
(4) Turn right (south-west) to reach Rue des Comtes de Rosen, turn left onto it and you will find the car park at the end of the street (S/E).
