The 35th Infantry Regiment memorial and the Belval polisher
This short hike takes you to see the Neolithic polisher at Belval and the memorial to the soldiers of the 35th Infantry Regiment who fell between 17 July and 3 August 1918 in the Bois de Courton.
It passes through many woods, vineyards and pastures. It has little elevation gain and presents no difficulties, except for muddy conditions in wet weather.
You will find it very peaceful. Avoid on hunting days.
Stele in the Bois de Courton from Nanteuil-la-Forêt
This short hike in the woods will be of interest to First World War enthusiasts as it passes by the memorial stone honouring the soldiers ofthe 35th Infantry Regiment who fell between 17 July and 3 August 1918 in the Bois de Courton.
Please respect the area, as the woods are probably private property. Avoid during hunting season.

The Abbey of Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers houses the tomb of the monk Dom Pérignon, who is credited with inventing the Champagne method of winemaking. The Pierre Cheval Park, nestled on the side of a hillside, offers a magnificent view of the village of Hautvillers.

Tour of the Chamery cirque and the Bois d’Écueil
A series of successive steps – sometimes steep but short, separated by less steep sections – will take you to the summit plateau of this part of the Montagne de Reims. After crossing a mix of wide, stony paths and other wilder, sometimes damp sections, you’ll circle the Bois d’Écueil before reaching the paragliding area, then head back down to the starting village to complete your tour of the Chamery cirque.

Two circular loops between Sacy and Courmas
A short hike, mainly through the forest. Pleasant in summer but best avoided in heavy rain due to muddy patches.
In some places, you leave the path entirely and it is essential to follow the trail.
A GPS or the Visorando app is recommended for following the route due to numerous new paths as well as paths leading nowhere.
Route between Épernay, Ay and Dizy
This route can be completed at a brisk walking pace. It can also be used to reach Aÿ or Dizy from Épernay station, to link up with another walk, for walkers arriving by TER.
To do this route from Épernay, do not start at the station if you are travelling by car; instead, head to Aÿ or Dizy, where parking is easy. The best option is to walk there.
