(S/E) On leaving Épernay station, cross the small square and turn left onto Rue Pierre Semard. Cross the railway bridge, then the Marne bridge.
(1) After the bridge, take the second street on the right – Rue Jean Moulin – then Rue Jean de La Fontaine, then Rue de l’Égalité. Walk past the cemetery. Continue straight on until you reach the railway line. Follow it until you reach the houses.
(2) After Yvette Lundy Secondary School, turn left onto Rue de Villemoyer, then take the first right.
You’ll come to the avenue leading from Aÿ-Champagne station to the canal bridge. Turn left and follow it to the bridge. Cross the bridge. Immediately turn left onto Quai du Port, which runs alongside the canal. You can also walk through the green space alongside it. Continue to the lock.
(3) Cross the road and take the path that runs alongside the canal on the other side. Continue to the Dizy bridge.
(4) Go under the bridge, then head back up onto the road via the footbridge. Walk towards Épernay for a few metres, pass the Volkswagen garage, then turn right towards the recycling centre. You’ll reach the banks of the Marne
(5) Turn left and follow the river to Épernay.
Return to the bridge you crossed on the way there.
(1) Turn right, cross the two bridges again, then turn right to follow the outward route back to Épernay station (S/E).
