A pleasant hike through the countryside and forest. It allows you to discover the villages of Anjoutey and Étueffont as well as beautiful landscapes along the Madeleine. Beautiful view of the Vosges peaks without having to climb them. It is easily accessible, about ten kilometres north-east of Belfort. The route is marked with a red ring.

Loop starting from Étueffont-centre via the Chapelle du Mont Bonnet, the Tête Le Moine, the Trou du Loup, the small village of Lamadeleine Val des Anges, the Col des Sept Chemins (open shelter), the Tête des Mineurs and the place called Le Châtelat.Follow the Club Vosgien's "Anneau Jaune" (Yellow Ring) markings.

This family walk, starting from the Château Lesmann car park in Roppe, will take you to the distinctive Y-shaped Étang de l'Autruche lake and then to the Faré,the first line of defence of Fort de Roppe. Enjoy magnificent views of the Vosges mountains from Planche des Belles Filles to Grand Ballon. Finally, you will pass by the Maie farm and then near old gypsum mines (or holes), with views of the Jura and the Alps on a clear day, before returning to the starting point.

In the hills above Lamadeleine-Val-des-Anges, starting from one of the smallest and most picturesque villages in the Belfort area, you will climb the Baerenkopf to the legendary refuge of the same name. The route is marked with a Blue Ring.

Starting from the small village of Lamadeleine-Val-des-Anges at the bottom of the Madeleine river valley, there is a pleasant climb through the forest to the Lochberg Pass via the Sept Chemins and Chat passes. From the Col du Lochberg, a circular route will allow us to discover the stubble fields and ridges of the Schlumpf with beautiful views of the upper Doller valley and the nearby peaks, as well as its magnificent log shelters (Sommerseite, Graber) before returning to the pass via the Fennematt and the Source de la Doller. Return to the starting point via the summit of Baerenkopf, Haquin and Trou du Loup.

This hike is marked with cabbage-shaped markers. It will allow you to discover the village of Chèvremont and some of the old military installations located in the commune. You will discover its church dating from 1784, built by the architect Kleber, the town hall and the adjoining facilities: school, nursery, cultural centre, Chougalante, cemetery.

Circular in short version with limited elevation changes, the fortifications overlooking the old town of Belfort passing by the Tour de la Miotte, the Porte du Vallon then the Fort de la Justice and its dovecote, the top of the Glacis, the national cemetery, then the Citadel Tower and passage at the foot of the Lion before crossing the Brisach Gate, all enhanced by magnificent views of the city, its monuments and its surroundings.

This hike, starting from the commune of Lachapelle-sous-Chaux, takes you to the heart of the remarkable Étangs des Ayeux. It is located 8km north of Belfort. It is signposted.

Starting from Masevaux, this hike will take you to Sudel, the south-eastern tip of the Vosges. It offers a beautiful view of the Belfort area, the Jura and the Alps. The hike is not difficult, there is just a slight incline.

This is a moderate hike on a path that crosses a magnificent Vosges forest. Between the trees towards the Col du Chantoiseau, there is a view of the Swiss Jura. Experienced hikers can take a detour from the Chantoiseau to Tremonkopf for a 360° view. The descent from Chantoiseau reveals a view of Planche des Belles Filles and Ballon d'Alsace. The end of the route crosses the pretty village of Planche le Prêtre.

This hike will take you to the Source de la Doller, which, contrary to what you might think, does not originate at the Ballon d'Alsace, but below the Schlumpf. During the hike, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Doller valley and have the opportunity to eat at one of the farmhouse inns along the route.

From Niederbruck to Bruckenwald: go via the trail and return via the path.

This hike will take you to the entrance of old silver and copper mines dating back to the 16th century, when the village of Giromagny surpassed Belfort in population. The trail is signposted.

This stage is the last of the Club Vosgien's red rectangle trail through the Vosges. This stage is classified as moderate as there is virtually no elevation gain. Most of the hike takes place under forest cover. The stage starts in the small town of Giromagny and ends in the beautiful city of Belfort, passing by Bartholdi's Lion, a must-see photo spot for those completing the Vosges crossing!

Between Masevaux and Niederbruck, more than ten kilometres of new forest paths have recently been created. Here is a nice little route of about 6 km that partly follows these new paths... Hike accessible via Niederbruck Centre station.

This is a very pretty hike that will allow you to discover a charming village and its suburbs, an old synagogue and an "Arromanches" type bridge. It passes near the Porte d'Alsace area with the Fosses discovery trail, where you will learn to recognise the trees of our region. Not to mention the Étang de la Marnière, a vast wetland with flora and fauna to discover. The hike is signposted.

This lovely, easy walk with very little elevation gain is accessible to all and allows you to discover the beautiful landscapes of ponds, woods and meadows, where you will find the two vast ponds of Malsaucy and Véronne, as well as the Maison Départementale de l'Environnement (Departmental Environment Centre) and its remarkable exhibitions.

This hike passes by the small Lachtelweiher lake, which nestles peacefully at an altitude of 740 metres. The route passes numerous authentic farm inns, alternates between forests and stubble fields, climbs passes and peaks with panoramic views, and ventures close to the source of the Doller.

Short walk in Niederbruck to the Entzenbach farmhouse inn, nestled in a peaceful spot at the bottom of the valley.

A pleasant circuit between the mid-mountains and the forest, with stubble fields, rivers and farm inns. Accessible to all, the only slight difficulty being the climb above the Entzenbach farm inn. But what a treat when you reach the hill and the Triebelskopf pasture!

From the top of the rocky promontory of Eichstein, the Virgin of Alsace watches over Niederbruck and the Doller Valley. Access to the Virgin is only possible on foot via a medium-difficulty hiking trail.

This hike is the first of two stages linking the end of the Vosges crossing in Belfort to the start of the Grande Traversée du Jura (or GTJ on maps), located at the start of Mandeure. This hike is very cultural, starting in the historic town of Belfort. The first part takes you past three forts: Belfort, Basses Perches and Bosmont. The hike is never very far from urban areas and it is even possible to get there by TGV as the high-speed train passes through. It is a hike that alternates between woods, agricultural plains and villages of varying sizes, including Bourogne and its charming wash houses. The end of the hike is the most pleasant part of the route, crossing the dry grasslands of Bourogne and walking along the Rhône-Rhine Canal.

Between the Vosges and Jura mountains, discover the Salbert massif overlooking Belfort on a varied hike through forests, wide panoramas and interesting sites. At the summit, enjoy a superb 360° view of the Haute Saône, beautiful ponds at the foot of the Vosges mountains, the city of Belfort and the Alps in good weather. The route is signposted.

This beautiful hike takes you from Masevaux to the summit of Rossberg at an altitude of 1,191 metres. From the top, you can enjoy magnificent views of the Vosges, the Alsace plain, the Black Forest, the Jura and the Alps. The elevation gain is significant, but the route is otherwise easy.

This route passes by Fort des Basses Perches, which is part of the fortified belt around Belfort. An easy hike with superb views of Belfort, the Haute Saône and the Vosges mountains. This hike is signposted.

A beautiful hike starting in Petit-Croix, located 10 km east of Belfort. You will discover a pleasant landscape at the foot of the Vosges mountains as you pass through the villages of Cunelières and Foussemagne. The hike passes by the spot where Adolphe Pégoud, an aviation ace, was shot down in 1915. You will also see the monument dedicated to him in the centre of the village. The trail is signposted.

This hike begins on the western flank of Mont Jean, through a forest interspersed with clearings offering magnificent views of the Savoureuse valley and the surrounding peaks. It reaches its peak at the Col du Chantoiseau, a haven of peace at the crossroads, at the foot of the Tremontkopf, which offers a view of the Riervescemont valley and its hills.

Follow the Doller river on this route, which showcases the villages of Sentheim and Lauw.

A beautiful hike starting in Novillard, located 10 km east of Belfort. You will discover Novillard, Fontenelle, Petit-Croix and beautiful countryside landscapes with views of the Swiss Jura and the Vosges. You will walk along the banks of the Madeleine river through the undergrowth. The hike passes by the spot where Adolphe Pégoud, a flying ace, was shot down in 1915. This hike is signposted.

From the car park at Sentheim church, a pleasant, undulating hike passes through Spannplatz between Bourbach-le-Bas and Rammerstatt, climbing towards the Col d'Hundsruck via the Hochburg shelter, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Swiss Jura and the Bernese Alps in good weather. Then descend towards Bourbach-le-Haut, passing through the Col du Schirm and climbing up to the Rocher du Poilu to enjoy the magnificent view despite the somewhat overgrown forest, before returning to Sentheim via the Chapelle des Mineurs and part of the Geological Trail and Hasenwald.

This hike takes you mainly through forest from Sentheim to Masevaux via the Wolflenloch discovery trail. The return route follows the Doller river, passing the Hohenstein Cave and Sainte-Anne Chapel.

From the car park at Sentheim church, cross the Doller river and climb the hill above the village via the Way of the Cross and its thirteen stations, the Virgin of Rollenberg, the Eichwald forest and the old sports trail. Return via Knapphutte and the Miners' Chapel, then take a section of the geological discovery trail.

The aim of the walk is to discover the historical and natural features of the Bosmont Forest and the forestry operations managed by the Office Nationale des Forêts (ONF). You will be able to see the marks left by the work carried out between 1874 and 1880, after the Franco-Prussian War. The Belfort-Réchésy railway line through the forest is also still visible. The summit peaks of the Vosges are always a delight for hikers because of the magnificent views they offer. Those of the Wissgrut (or Wisskritt) between the Belfort gap and the Masevaux valley are remarkable. You will reach them via the beautiful Wagenstall waterfalls and continue along the ridge and the upper Fennematt valley, where the Doller river has its source, and its beautiful panoramic trail.

A very beautiful hike with a stunning view from the summit of Ballon d'Alsace over two other ballons. This hike takes us to the remarkable sites of Saut de la Truite, Rummel Waterfall, Étang du Petit Haut and Vierge du Ballon.

A beautiful walk that will first take you along wide forest paths before the final climb to Rossberg and its magnificent views.

This pretty route through meadows and woods is not difficult and the elevation gain is very moderate. It is a family walk suitable for young children. It offers some beautiful views and allows you to discover the grassy slopes of Gentiane, Wissgrut and Tremontkopf, as well as little-used forest paths.

A family walk in unspoilt, lush countryside at an average altitude of 950 m and with no difficulty. The first part of the route is below the Plain de la Gentiane, in the forest among century-old trees and lush vegetation. Once you reach the Wissgrut, the return journey is along the ridge through sun-drenched pastures with panoramic views of four departments.

A superb snowshoe hike starting from the Col de la Gentiane, near Ballon d'Alsace, 30 km north of Belfort. This hike will allow you to discover the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Vosges and, if you are lucky enough to have clear weather, you can admire the Swiss Alps and even Mont Blanc.
