It is at Cerbère that the Pyrenees plunge into the sea. Magnificent views of the Côte Vermeille and the Pyrenees mountain range, with Mont Canigou as a backdrop. Although this hike is of moderate difficulty, it requires good footwear and, in certain sections, you may need to use your hands.

Glorianes is a small village in the Conflent region, tucked away in the mountains, and the road ends here. This fairly strenuous hike will take us to a summer pasture, with the Canigou range, Vinca and its lake as a backdrop; Glorianes is known for its old gold mines.

This hike takes us to Lac de la Balmette with its crystal-clear waters, then to the Refuge de la Balmette with a panoramic view of the Pyrenees; we continue our ascent to Mont Llaret, the highest point, and descend towards Les Angles via the Roc d’Aude and the ski resort facilities.

Starting from the village of Sainte-Colombe-de-la-Commanderie, we will take paths through the heath to Castenou, one of the most beautiful villages in France, then on to Roc Majorque with a 360° view of the Roussillon plain.

This hike takes us from Vernet-les-Bains to Corneilla-de-Conflent, a pretty route between the hills and the valley, part of which is through wooded areas. We pass a well-preserved dolmen and can take our time to visit the village of Corneilla-de-Conflent with its Romanesque church. At the end of the route, I suggest you take a look at an unusual wash house.

This hike will take us through the Corbières to La Roque Traoucada, thetroglodyte sheepfolds of Plat de la Lause and Plat de Vabina, the milestones, theartesian wells of Jasse Rouge and the beautiful drystone shelters, with a panoramic view of the coast.

This hike will take us from the village of Eus to the restored hermitage of Saint-Jacques de Calahons via a path that runs partly through the woods. We will follow part of the Chemin des Cabanes, the remains of pastoral activity. The Canigou mountain range accompanies us along the entire route.

From the village of Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes through the forest, we will go to the spiral viaduct on the D9 and the ruins of the Château des Maures. We will pass the commemorative plaque marking the lunch stop of the Duke and Duchess of Orléans, sons of Louis-Philippe I, then head towards the abandoned hamlet of Malabrac.

A short cycle ride through the vineyards and orchards. No particular difficulties apart from a steep descent before reaching Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, and the final section being along the D117,

A pleasant 33 km route through the Fenouillèdes, following the Agly as far as Ansignan and Lake Caramany, then climbing towards the villages of Lansac and Lesquerde. This is part of the Wine Route. For enthusiasts, there are numerous dolmens to see.

A pleasant cycle ride through part of the Fenouillèdes region, taking in the ancient thermal baths of Saint-Paul, its hot springs at 28°C and its Via Ferrata. The route follows part of the River Agly, then climbs to offer views of the Canigou mountain range and the village of Maury with its trompe-l’œil murals and its AOP wine.

A cycle ride through the Fenouillet region along small roads offering varied landscapes ranging from vineyards to forests. The villages are small and seem frozen in a bygone era. This route features some steep climbs and fairly fast descents.
