Coming from Estagel, pass the Maury roundabout and the cemetery, then turn right immediately at the first road leading to the large car park located 100 metres before the Maury wine cellars.
(S/E) Leave the car park on your left and go to the end to join the path, then continue to the right until you reach the Saint-Roch Chapel.
(1) Follow the road (yellow markings) until you reach another crossroad (D69).
(2) Continue straight ahead along the path through the vineyards, then keep right at the next two forks. Pass under the power line twice and you will arrive at an inverted Y-shaped intersection with a sign.
(3) Take the hairpin turn to the left, pass under the power line a third time and continue along the path called "Dernier bastion cathare" (Last Cathar stronghold), which crosses the Maury vineyard and arrives at the Ruisseau des Arbres Blancs (White Trees Stream, often dry).
(4) Continue right on the marked path. Turn left at the hairpin bend and reach an intersection at elevation 236.
(5) Turn completely right and reach a high area.
(6) View of the Château de Quéribus. Continue along the path until you reach the intersection with a wide track leading to the right to Mas Janeil.
(7) Turn completely left (yellow markings).
(8) Turn right, pass Clot de l'Escale (altitude 310 m) and arrive at a kind of pass.
(9) Leave the track and take the path on the left which leads to some undergrowth.
(10) Keep to the right, then take the path on the left about 50 metres further on. There are numerous information panels about the flora. Continue downhill along the path that winds through the vineyards, heading generally south.
(11) Turn right, keep to the right a few dozen metres further on, then ignore the path on the left leading to the Serre des Roumani ridge. Continue to the picnic area.
(12) Join the D9, follow it carefully to the left for 100 metres until you reach a fork. Take the path opposite which climbs up to the village of Maury and leads to Rue Anatole France.
(13) The village is famous for its many trompe-l'oeil paintings. Turn left, pass the town hall and continue along Rue du Docteur Douy, then Rue du 14 Juillet. Cross Route de Cucugnan and turn right to reach the car park (S/E).
