Change direction as the track is closed. Head towards Quérigut, then continue along the road until you reach the sign for Col d'Ares. Quérigut pond. Take the track on the right, pass the Quérigut pond car park, pass the Laurenti forest refuge, and continue along the track until you reach the Restanque car park.
(S/E) Take the path on the right for about 1 km until you reach a clearing
(1) Continue along the path, following the yellow markings, which leads into the undergrowth.
(2) After the wooden bridge, the path becomes steeper. You will arrive at the summer pastures, the Pla d'Artounant. Watch out for animals grazing in the pastures. You are surrounded by mountains: Pic du Tarbésou, Pic de Balbonne, Pic des Llauses and Pic de la Coumeille de l'Ours. The path climbs again and you will arrive at the Étang de Rabassoles with its clear water.
(3) Continue along the path, which continues to climb until you reach the Étang Bleu.
(4) Follow theGR®® 7B on the right to reach the Étang Noir.
(5) Take the time to pause in this magnificent spot, especially if it is rhododendron season.
To return to the car park, follow the same route you took on the way there until you reach (S/E).
