Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the entrance to the village of Sainte-Colombe-de-la-Commanderie.

(S/E) Head towards the centre and cross the village until you reach a crossroads with several directions.

(1) Take the track on the right, uphill. You will soon reach the Serrat del Pou crossroads.

(2) Turn left and, at the edge of the woods, you will reach another crossroads in the centre of the quarry.

(3) Take thesecond path on the left to walk along the edge of the quarry at the edge of the woods. You will then enter a landscape of heath. After the quarry, take a small path on the right to rejoin the PR®, marked in yellow and white, at a place called Feixes d'en Palet.

(4) Continue right on this PR® to reach a Y-junction with a sign.

(5) Keep right towards Castelnou until you reach a road (D48) at a place called els Colls.

(6) Cross it and you will quickly reach a viewpoint with an orientation table.

(7) Take the small path on the left, still following the yellow and white markings. Descend and you will arrive at the Castelnou cemetery.

(8) Continue downhill, crossing Castelnou. Pass through the fortified gate, then leave the village through an old, partially ruined gate, arriving at a signpost.

(9) Turn left and follow the signs for Roc de Majorca. Here, begin the ascent of the Roc, cross the Còrrec de la Font, then arrive at a crossroads of paths.

(10) Here you have two options:
- take the direct but steep path uphill on the left,
- or continue to the right, which is the route shown on the map and offers an easier climb, to reach Coll de la Creu.

(11) Turn left, almost 180°, to finish the climb up Roc de Majorca.

(12) For the descent, take the middle path on the right, located between the two PR® trails. This steady descent joins the PR® trail.

(13) Keep to the right and you will soon come to a PR® sign at a place called La Garriga. Turn left, walk alongside an old marble quarry and cross the Còrrec de la Coma. You will arrive at Cortal Noell, a ruined building.

(14) Continue straight ahead and you will soon come to the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(1) Take the same route as on the way there, in the opposite direction, to return to the car park at the entrance to the village of Sainte-Colombe-de-la-Commanderie (S/E).
