It follows the scenic trails of the Brand and Sommerberg and allows you to discover the most picturesque villages in the wine-growing region. The return journey partly follows the Piémont cycle path. This route is reserved for mountain bikes, with or without electric assistance.

Labaroche is a very large commune. This hike takes you around the upper part of the village, so the elevation gain is modest. The route is divided into two parts and goes around Le Cras and Petit Hohnack. The detour around Le Cras follows forest paths to the Herrenwasen pass. This hike includes a few sections on small mountain roads and is particularly recommended in autumn when nature is ablaze with colour.

This is a short hike in the hills with beautiful views of the small and large Munster valleys, the Petit Ballon, the Hohneck, the Frankenthal, the Schlucht and the Trois Fours.Good footwear is required as there are a few sections where you have to climb over rocks (north face of the Petit Hohneck) and the descent from Schaefferthal to Gaschney is very rocky.With a bit of luck, you may encounter some chamois grazing on the mountain pastures. ⚠️ This hike is not accessible in winter. The starting point for this hike in the Petit Ballon massif is at Wassmatt, at an altitude of over 800 m, which reduces the elevation gain. After reaching Buchwald with its hundred-year-old beech trees and panoramic view of the Wasserbourg valley, the Alsace plain and the Black Forest, the route takes us to the peaks and then plunges through the forest to Boenlesgrab. The return journey, which is more peaceful, passes through Dreischoepf and Hanspen before reaching Wassmatt again.

This hike can be shortened by almost 4 kilometres if you choose the Shepherd's Valley Chapel as your starting point.

While Kaysersberg is rightly ranked among the French's favourite villages, our favourite is Kientzheim, a village away from the tourist trail but with a remarkable historical heritage. The route follows forest and vineyard paths and tarmac or cobbled roads.

An ideal walk to start the season, taking you around Colmar and across the Alsace plain to the Rhine. It mainly follows cycle paths or routes, rural roads or quiet roads, with the exception of a few sections where you need to pay attention to traffic.
