Depart from the car park near the Salle des Fêtes in Wihr-au-Val.
(S/E) Join the signposted cycle route near the bridge over the Fecht and follow this route through meadows and fields to the Beau Rivage campsite.
(1) Near the campsite, a left-right turn takes you to the banks of the Fecht and the next bridge over the Fecht.
(2) Cross the bridge, then follow the cycle path on the right-hand side of the Fecht river.
(3) After the shopping centre, go under the road and cross the Fecht bridge to reach the left bank. Follow the Fecht, passing close to the campsite. Cross the Parc de la Fecht, following the Neptune basin.
(4) Cross the bridge over the Fecht, follow the Petite Fecht stream and reach Place de la Tuilerie.
(5) Turn right onto Rue de l'Église, cross Rue Hartmann, and walk up Rue des Potiers and Rue des Clefs to reach the Loewel Hospital Retirement Home via Rue des Vosges.
(6) Turn right onto Rue Loewel and continue until you reach Rue du Langaeckerle on the left.
(7) Take this street and follow the cycle path to the fork after the Montagne Gendarmerie barracks.
(8) Turn left, then right onto the D 417. Follow it to the entrance to Stosswihr.
(9) Turn right up Grand Rue, go to the church and carefully cross Route de la Schlucht to enter Ampfersbach.
(10) Ignore Rue d'Ampfersbach on the left and continue straight ahead on Rue de la Saegmatt until you reach the forest road on the right.
(11) Take this road and climb towards the Col de la Schlucht. After a long, steady climb, you will reach the bridge over the Altenbach.
(12) Leave the road and take the gravel path on the right, which leads to Route de la Schlucht, passing above the Brennaeckerle area.
(13) Continue right until the next crossroads.
(14) Turn left and climb towards Tanet. Follow this road until you reach a sharp left-hand bend. Continue straight ahead and you will reach the Sulzermatt farmhouse inn.
(15) Continue and, after a short descent, follow the forest path uphill to the left and join the Route du Boden.
(16) Climb this road on the left to the pass at a place called Boden.
(17) Follow the small tarmac road opposite, which leads to the Schantzwasen inn.
(18) At the sharp left-hand bend, leave the road and take the path opposite, which goes around Kerbhozkopf and leads to Route du Tanet.
(19) Turn left and, after a descent followed by an ascent, you will reach the Seestaedtle inn
(20) Follow the road, which turns sharply to the right, leading to Lac Vert.
(21) Descend to the right along the path marked with yellow crosses which, after a long descent, leads to the path that climbs up to Lac du Forlet (Lac des Truites).
(22) Descend to the right along Route du Forlet, which then runs alongside the Michelbach stream and leads to Route du Wettstein (D48).
(23) Turn right and descend to Route de la Schlucht.
(24) Cross carefully and descend opposite into the village of Soultzeren until you reach Rue Buckele on the right.
(25) Follow this road, passing above Soutzeren to reach Ampfersbach via Rue Schirbach. Continue a few metres to the right and you will arrive at Rue d'Ampfersbach on the left.
(10) Take this street, pass behind the church and cemetery of Ampfersbach, and join the D417 (Route de la Schlucht).
(26) Continue downhill to the right and join Rue du Widenthal on the right.
(9) Follow it, continue along Chemin de Stosswihr and join Munster. At the roundabout, go straight ahead and you will soon reach a multi-way junction.
(27) Take thesecond street on the right, Rue Rapp, walk along Parc Hartmann, then continue straight on Rue du Docteur Heid. Pass Lycée Kirschleger, then the bridge over the Fecht.
(28) Immediately afterwards, follow the cycle path on the left. Then follow the railway line and continue to Griesbach-au-Val. Continue along Rue de la Gare until you reach a four-way intersection at the war memorial.
(29) Continue left along this signposted route to Soulztbach. Cross the railway line and Route de Munster with caution and head towards the Salle des Fêtes in Wihr-au-Val, after crossing the bridge over the Fecht (S/E).
