The Doller Valley from Sentheim to Masevaux via Wolfenloch

Car park located near Saint-Georges Church in Sentheim.

(S/E) Cross the Grand Rue with caution and take Rue de l'Église, then Rue de Kattenbach to reach the bridge over the Doller and cross it.

(1) After the bridge, follow the Sentier de Découverte on the left.

(2) When you reach a three-way junction, turn left and cross the Silbach.

(3) Follow the shaded path that leads to the entrance of the Wolfenloch Cave. NB: the cave can only be visited by contacting the Maison de la Géologie in Sentheim. Then continue along the Sentier de Découverte. Follow this path, turning right through the Steingrube area, until you reach a metal staircase that leads to a path marked with a yellow disc.

(4) Follow the yellow disc markings on the left until you reach Gros Chêne, ignoring all other paths, whether marked or not.

(5) At the crossroads in Gros Chêne, continue along the yellow signposted path and you will come to two ponds.

(6) Continue on Chemin du Simmerstoeckle, which leads to Masevaux. Turn right onto Rue de l'Abattoir and join Route Joffre.

(7) Turn left. Continue to Place Clémenceau, cross the Doller, pass in front of the town hall of the community of communes and reach the ruins of the old abbey church.

(8) Go around the Cour du Chapitre on the left, then take Rue Paul Burgy to reach the Lycée Professionnel Joseph Vogt.

(9) Go around the school on the right and join the Anneau Rouge trail on the left, which leads to Lac Bleu.

(10) Follow the blue rectangle signs along the Grambaechle and Doller rivers to Lauw.

(11) Turn left onto Rue du Château, then right onto Rue de Mortzwiller, and continue to follow the blue rectangle signs. Go around Lauw to the south and reach the Hohlenstein Cave.

(12) Continue right, following the blue rectangle markings until the second turn on the left. Leave the blue rectangle markings and turn left to reach the Sainte-Anne Chapel, following the green ring markings.

(13) Continue following the green ring markings.

(14) On the outskirts of Sentheim, go down Rue des Charbonniers on the left, then Rue de la Forêt. At the crossroads, turn right and then immediately left onto Rue Saint-Georges and return to the car park (S/E) near the church.
