The starting point is the car park on the small road that leads from Eschbach-au-Val to Obersolberg and Erschlitt, below the turn-off to the Hotel Restaurant Obersolberg.
(S/E) Head towards the hotel by going up the road that turns sharply to the right. After a left-hand bend, with the hotel in view, a path marked with a red disc goes up to the left.
(1) Take this path, which passes above the hotel and leads to a viewpoint located on the edge of an old retention basin (Bassin Hartmann).
(2) Continue along the Red Disc marked trail, which runs above Ober-Erschlitt, leaving the return path on your right.
(3) Near a picnic area, leave the red disc markings and follow the yellow triangle path (Hertzog trail) to the road that climbs from Wasserbourg to Ried. Turn right at the Auberge du Ried and continue for about 200 metres.
(4) Leave the red disc markings and follow the unmarked forest path on the right, which passes below the hamlet of Schweng.
(5) This path joins another path marked with a blue cross before descending to Braeschenberg, located below Lameisberg.
(6) At Braeschenberg, leave the Blue Cross markings and follow the Yellow Cross marked path eastwards. It leads to the Christlesgut farmhouse inn (a sign indicates the direction to take).
(7) From Christlesgut, go to the crossroads and turn left to reach Stemlisberg (marked with a blue disc) via a small tarmac road. Cross the hamlet until you reach the sign for the Club Vosgien.
(8) Turn right, then leave the blue disc markings and descend to the right onto the path that leads to the Runzbach stream. Cross the stream and continue to the three-way junction.
(9) Follow the unmarked path that climbs northwards, passing in front of a house before joining the Luttenbach road at Ried. Be careful not to take the Chevalet Rouge marked path that climbs to Ried or descends to Munster.
(10) Go down the road on the left and follow the first unmarked path on the right, which leads directly to Obersolberg at the crossroads of the circular encountered on the way there.
(2) Follow the same route as on the way there to reach the car park on the Obersolberg road (S/E).
