Moderator update on 17/08/2020: Please note! At point 14, crossing the Domaine du Windeck is prohibited. You must therefore return to the starting point by following the road
(S/E) car park near the village hall (Avenue des Myrtilles in Ottrott). Turn right onto Rue du Vignoble.
(1) Turn right onto this street, then 250 metres further on, turn right onto Rue des Romains. Turn left onto Rue des Châteaux and follow it to the intersection with Rue du Mont Sainte-Odile. Turn left onto the latter.

(2) After the hotel complex, turn left onto Sentier des Pèlerins and head towards Mont Sainte-Odile.

(3) Join the Chasseurs trail, turn right towards the north-east and head towards the Rathsamhausen Forest House and the Ottrot Castles.
(4) Visit the ruins of Rathsamhausen and Lutzelbourg castles. On the left, continue along the marked path and descend to Klingenthal. This path meets a trail on the left that joins the Mont Sainte-Odile road. Follow this road to the right to reach the village.
(5) Turn left, cross the Ehn, pass in front of Place de l'Étoile, turn right into Rue de l'Église, continue for about 200 metres and turn left towards the cemetery.

(6) At the cemetery, follow the path (eastbound) and go around the Steinberg.

(7) Turn left. This path leads to a fork; take the left path going up towards the D216. Turn right onto this road towards Boersch.
(8) Turn left, heading north, to visit the wine-growing village of Boersch. Pass under the Upper Gate (Obertor), continue north to the Town Hall, then reach the Lower Gate via Rue Monseigneur Médard Barth.
(9) At the Porte du Bas, follow the path on the right that runs along the ramparts and leads back up to the Porte du Haut. At the Porte du Haut, head south, passing the intersection with the main street.
(8) Turn left onto Rue Saint-Léonard and follow it for about 350 metres.
(10) Turn right onto Rue Charles Spindler and continue to Saint-Léonard. Join the road from Ottrott to Boersch (D35), cross it and continue along Rue de la Léonardsau.

(11) Turn right and head south-east along a marked path towards Ottrott le Bas, crossing the Ehn river.

(12) Turn right and continue along the Ehn path until you reach the Boersch road, then turn left. Continue south on Rue du Schliffwerg.
(13) At the roundabout, turn left onto Route de Klingenthal, then 100 metres further on, turn right onto Rue Principale.
No signposts
(14) At the end of this street, take a path on the left to reach the Château du domaine de Windeck. Report to reception, cross the park and return to the starting point. NB: hikers have told me that they encountered difficulties crossing the park - a shame (S/E).
