From the Crossey Gorges to the Pierre Chave Bridge, a circular route
Starting from the impressive Crossey Gorges (200 m high), this double-circular route, mainly through woodland and without any technical difficulty or danger, will take you to the Tourniquet or Pont de Pierre Chave, a rather rare spiral structure where the road passes successively under and over the bridge. On the return journey, the route passes by the Rocher de la Garde, a lovely viewpoint overlooking Saint-Étienne de Crossey and the Voironnais region.
Crossey Gorges - Croix du Rocher de la Garde
This is an easy hike, except for a short acrobatic passage on the sharp limestone pavement near the cross. Beautiful view of Saint-Étienne-de-Crossey and its surroundings.
Tour of the Grand Ratz plateau
A beautiful loop around the Grand Ratz, passing by the Roche Brune viewpoint with its breathtaking view of the Isère valley.
Rochebrune
This low peak and its twin opposite on the Vercors side, the Dent de Moirans, watch over the exit of the Isère as it flows quietly towards the Rhône and the entrance of rain and snow clouds pushed by the north winds. A remarkable viewpoint over the valleys, it is an ideal half-day walk.
La Grande Sure par la cheminée de Jusson et le Pas de Pierre Taillée.
Randonnée en huit partant des Trois Fontaines, un lieu baigné de fraicheur où il fait bon s'attarder en plein été.Le sentier commence dans la forêt en s'élevant dans une rude pente par de nombreux lacets. Il franchit des gradins rocheux pour rejoindre une bergerie d'alpage, le Chalet de Jusson. En haut de la prairie se présente la Cheminée de Jusson qui s'escalade sans difficulté pour parvenir au sommet et profiter d'un magnifique panorama. Descendre la crête et une partie du vallon de l'Hérétang puis remonter la Combe des Veaux pour retrouver le Chalet de Jusson. La descente par le Pas des Rochers de Pierre Taillée s'effectuant sur une sente en déshérence puis dans la forêt pour retrouver le parking conviendra aux randonneurs en quête de lieu secret.

Tour de Charminelle (Trail No. 6 of the Western Chartreuse Trails)
A challenging and demanding hike through the impressive scenery of sheer drops and cliffs typical of the Chartreuse foothills, ancient high-altitude meadows, and a descent into the torrential basins of Charminelle and La Roize, passing through the peaceful haven of Chalais Monastery before returning to the starting point.
Trail no. 6 of the "Western Chartreuse Trails".
It is strongly recommended that you follow this route in a clockwise direction.
These are mountain and/or forest trails, with all the inherent risks: falling branches, trees, stones and rocks; mudslides; torrential floods; slips and slides... You will be walking alongside ravines and cliffs. Do not leave the marked trail.
Rochers du Lorzier via the Charminelle ladders
The hike to the Lorzier rocks via the Charminelle ladders takes us on an adventure along an original route combining slightly dizzying passages through chimneys or on century-old ladders once used by hunters. Several viewpoints offer beautiful panoramic views, particularly at the top of the Lorzier rocks and at the Col des Banettes.
Les Passières de Charminelle
This low-altitude loop takes you up an old passage equipped with ladders by hunters, before crossing the formidable Roize and returning via Chalais and its monastery.
Rochebrune Tower
This circular route starts at the La Rigonnière outdoor activity centre in Voreppe and goes around Rochebrune, the highest point of the Grand Ratz, the southernmost link in the Jura mountain range.
Although the altitude remains modest, the hike covers a significant elevation gain and distance.
The landscapes are very varied and change throughout the route, with views of the surrounding mountains: Chartreuse, Vercors, the hills of Bas Dauphiné, as well as the Isère valley and the Grenoble metropolitan area.
Circular from Saint-Aupre
A short, easy walk with some lovely views and a passage over the original Pont de Pierre Chave bridge.
Rochebrune from Voreppe
A lovely but fairly strenuous hike. Return via the same route.
Racin Circular Loop
A family walk where you’ll discover Voreppe set amidst its rolling hills, with its old hamlets, its slopes once covered in vineyards, and the Poor Clares’ monastery.
Trail No. 1 of the "Sentiers de Chartreuse Occidentale"
This trail nevertheless presents risks typical of mountain and forest trails (falling branches and the Roize river overflowing at the ‘Pas Japonais’ crossing, etc.).
