Go to the cemetery car park.
(S/E) Head towards the church and pass in front of the town hall. Follow this road until you reach the cross.
(1) From there, turn left onto "Route du Plan". Pass La Morge and at the next crossroads, turn left onto "Route de Miribel". Continue for 100 metres until you reach a street that goes up to the right.
(2) Take this street (Le Grand Chemin), which soon turns into a path. Walk uphill until you reach the cross with the ram.
(3) Turn right towards Les Chambures. Walk about 800 metres under the trees, then the view becomes clearer. Walk past a pretty stone house on your right. Pass the cross and continue to the crossroads.
(4) Cross the Route de la Montagne. Follow the road opposite to an old farm (Les Vessières). Now take the path that goes straight ahead. Continue to the fork near the Col du Pilori.
(5) Turn right towards Saint-Aupre. Go down the path. When you reach the road, turn left towards a farm (altitude 836m) where you turn right onto the path that goes downhill. Continue for about 500m until you reach a fork.
(6) Leave the path that descends to Ture and turn left. You will soon reach a stone house. Go behind it and reach the edge of the forest. Do not take the stony path that goes straight up, but follow the path that branches off to the right (some yellow markings remain). After about 900 metres, you will arrive at a clearing.
(7) Turn right towards the south-west. A sign saying "Les Vernays" is painted on the trunk of a beech tree. Follow this path, which is still marked in yellow, for about 1 km until you reach a junction with a fairly wide stony path.
(8) At the junction, you will find a sign explaining the history of the Pont de Pierre Chave bridge. Turn right towards the bridge. After 150 metres, you will come to a road which you take to the right to cross the bridge. Follow the road for 400 metres.
(9) Turn right onto Chemin du Verney and, at the fork, turn right onto Chemin des Balmettes. After another 500 metres, you will come to a left-hand bend.
(10) Take the path on the right that leads towards the forest. Descend to the small bridge over the Morge. You will now reach the junction with the "Route de Miribel".
(11) Turn left onto the D49 towards Saint-Aupre. After 200 metres, you will find the Route de Champtoraz on your left.
(12) Reach the houses and continue straight ahead.
(1) Continue straight ahead to the cemetery car park (S/E).
