(S/E) From the car park on Route du Grand Ratz, cross the road and take the path directly opposite heading south. Follow this path for about 900 m, ignoring the paths on the left and right.
When you come out of the forest, follow the bend to the right. The path climbs steadily alongside the meadows, then becomes a tarmac road from the first house. Continue straight on to the place called Le Grand Ratz.
(1) At the end of this road, take the path on your left (yellow markings).
(2) After 150 metres, at an intersection, turn completely left. This path climbs gently into the forest. Follow this path, ignoring the various other paths on either side. Continue until you reach an intersection with another path.
(3) At this intersection, you will see a yellow mark on a tree (on your left). Turn left and walk about 100 metres until you reach a tree on your right with another yellow mark.
(4) At this tree, looking to your right, you will clearly see a small path that gently climbs into the forest towards the west. Turn right and take this path.
Important: if the main path starts to descend, you have gone too far. Retrace your steps and look for this mark on your left.
Continue along this path, which runs along the ridge for about 500 metres, until you reach the next crossroads, where you will find the main path again.
(5) Turn left (yellow mark) towards "Roche Brune" and its cross. Return along the same path to the crossroads, turn left and continue straight on until the next intersection.
(6) Take Chemin du Tracolin on the left (pink mark on a tree). Pass a paragliding take-off site and continue along this path until you reach the hamlet of Grand Ratz and the tarmac road.
(7) Turn left and follow the wide dirt track until you reach the next crossroads, after passing a meadow on your left.
(8) Turn right at the hairpin bend, cross the Cossert de Gilles buildings and reach the car park (S/E).
