Tour of the small lake of Embrun
Embrun is a town located in the heart of the Durance Valley. Rich in history, it is located not far from Lake Serre-Ponçon. There is a small lake next to it. Walking around it is a pleasant stroll, with views of the surrounding mountains, including Pic de Morgon and Mont Guillaume. It is a walk that can be enjoyed with young children.

Forêt des Roures
This walk begins in the shade of a forest along a stream. It continues along the hillside with superb views of Lake Serre-Ponçon. It descends gently along the forest track.
You can admire roures (very old oak trees) as well as many other species of trees from the region and colourful flora.
The Beaume Valley from Les Méans
An easy round-trip hike that takes you along the Torrent de Reyssas, where you can dip your feet just before the pretty Vallon de la Beaume. At the end of the route, you can continue on to the Col de Reyssas or Lac Brun (about 1 hour each), or even towards the Col de Trempa-Latz.Please note: mountain pastures. Dogs, even on a lead, are prohibited by local by-law, generally from 1 June onwards. You may encounter local sheepdogs: please remain cautious and respectful of grazing areas.
Mont Guillaume
This is a pleasant route to one of the main and most beautiful viewpoints of Lake Serre-Ponçon.

The Plat de l’Aiguille viewpoint, starting from Saint-Jean
A lovely circular route combining a bit of tarmac, plenty of forest tracks and a superb path through the larch forest. There are numerous picnic areas, all equipped, along this circular route.
