On the D9 between the villages of Puy-Sanières and Puy-Saint-Eusèbe, look for the start of the forest track at the Para viewpoint. Park at the start of the track.
(S/E) Follow the forest track heading due east for about 800 m until you reach a large flat area.
(1) Leave the track and look for a path on the left that runs parallel to it. Follow it until you reach a kind of dry pond (this is the Écluse). Look for the start of the marked path on the left and then you will come to a fork.
(2) Climb the path on the left until you reach a forest track. Turn left for a short while, then look for the path on the right. Follow it, cross the forest track again and continue climbing for a short while until you reach a flat area. Be careful to follow the markings that lead off to the right. Join the forest track, turn right and descend for a short distance. Look for the start of a path on the right at a stream.
(3) Leave the track and descend to the right, following the wide path that descends for a short while. Be careful not to rush downhill, but look out for the start of the path on your left that will take you back to the forest track.
(4) Cross the forest track to take the path opposite. You will soon reach the Vanook Fountain.
(5) Continue downhill to the right, following the cairns and the generous signage. Cross the forest track and reach the crossroads before the lock.
(2) Retrace your steps to return to the D9 car park (S/E).
