Park your vehicle in the car park (Parking de la Forêt) provided for this purpose. To get there, go through Caleyère, then Château de Caleyère and Folampelle and follow the road to the end. Personally, I drove up the forest road after the car park for 730 m to reach the starting point.
(S/E) Take the path that climbs between the forest road and altitude 1762. It is not very well marked, either at its starting point or along the route, so be careful.
(1) When you reach elevation 1762, follow the forest road to the Pré Clos chalet.
(2) At the Pré Clos chalet, you will be greeted by beautiful horned animals in summer, who will shower you with thousands of flies. So hurry along the path that climbs up to the right behind the chalet in the shade of the forest.
Stay on the path under the trees for about 1,500 metres, then tackle the pebbles.
(3) When you reach a fork (take the right-hand path on the way back), climb up to the left facing the rocky ridge. As the pace slows down (except for some of us), take the opportunity to take a few photos of the beautiful little flowers that grow in the rocks in spring.
(4) After reaching the level of the rocky outcrop, which you will need to go around on the left, the small lake of Hivernet will appear in front of you.
(5). This small lake is very modest and sometimes dry, but what a pleasure it is to come across such colourful water features with a thousand reflections.
Return by the same route until you reach the fork.
(3) Take the Aiguille path on the left that descends before the forest, which I found to be a more pleasant route.
(6) 400 m after the fork, go around the chalet (watch out for dogs, which barked at me but did not come towards me) and take the path downhill until you reach the car park after crossing the forest road at points 1709 and 1587 on the map.
(7) At the car park, go up the forest road on the right to reach the starting point of the hike 730 m further on (S/E).
