The Gorges of the Méouge

A walk through gorges is always pleasant, and in those of Méouge it's a real joy.
Riou Gorges and Revuaire summit

A varied loop in the Baronnies Provençales, which runs through pretty gorges and then to a summit with beautiful panoramic views.
From Izon-la-Bruisse to Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze via Perty and Arsuc

This is the third and final stage of a three-day tour of the Méouge and Ouvèze ridges. You first pass through the western face of the Montagne de Chamouse, with its magnificent beech forests, before reaching the remarkable Col de Perty. Then, you'll follow the ridge for several kilometres via the summit of Arsuc and Serre de Charbouisse, enjoying breathtaking views of the Alps and the Ouvèze valley. The last third of the day allows you to explore the hamlets of the valley, in a pretty rural setting.
The Crête de Chabre loop via Eygalayes and Ballons

This is the second stage of a three-day circuit on the crests of the Méouge and Ouvèze rivers. Starting and ending in Izon-la-Bruisse, the route passes through the two pretty villages of Eygalayes and Ballons before reaching the Crête de Chabre for a splendid view of the Dévoluy, the Écrins and the Ventoux.
The Pic de Saint-Cyr

The ascent and descent from this peak are through forest, with the link between the two via a beautiful ridge trail.
Crête de la Montagne de l'Aup via La Sarcéna

Discover more than five kilometres of ridge offering breathtaking 360° views of the surrounding mountains. The route follows almost exclusively single-track trails winding through woods and meadows. From late May to late June, the trail is adorned with abundant, particularly pleasant and colourful flora.
Valdrôme resort: Montagne de l'Aup

From the resort, you will discover a vast 360° panorama of the Southern Alps and the whole of the Diois region, with a view of Mont Ventoux too.
Best done in June for the exceptional flora.
From Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze to Izon-la-Bruisse via the summit of Chamouse

This is the first stage of a three-day circuit on the ridges of the Méouge and Ouvèze rivers. Between heaven and earth, this is an exceptional route, mostly along ridges. Throughout the day, there are fantastic views of the Ouvèze valley, the Provençal peaks such as Lure and Ventoux, and then the Southern Alps. This is a wild route, far from everything, ending in the equally wild micro-village of Izon-la-Bruisse.
On the crests of the Méouge and Ouvèze rivers, in the Baronnies Provençales

This itinerary between the valleys of the Méouge and Ouvèze allows you to take the pulse of the Parc Naturel Régional des Baronnies Provençales. Little travelled and regularly on balconies and ridges, the route alternates between lavender fields and rocky slopes, Scots pine forests and sublime beech woods, pastoral paths and ridges with exceptional panoramic views. In addition to its particularly wild character, the few small villages it passes through are particularly picturesque, and the route allows you to explore the sublime Montagne de Chamouse from every angle.
The ridges of the Lure mountain

The hike quickly reaches a superb viewpoint offering a clear view of the mountains of south-eastern France:- Sainte-Baume and Sainte-Victoire (Bouches-du-Rhône)- Le Lubéron or Mont Ventoux (Vaucluse)- Le Verdon (Var/Alpes de Haute Provence)- Les Trois Becs (Drôme)- Le Dévoluy or Les Écrins (Hautes Alpes)- Mont Aiguille and Grand Veymont (Isère).Then we set off to explore the resort's old ski lifts, finally returning via the old coal mines.
Trou de l'Argent cave - Montagne de la Baume

This hike takes you to the top of La Baume. Magnificent views of Sisteron, the surrounding valleys and the Alps. You then cross to the other side of the mountain, revealing yet another landscape. But first, you will need to pass through the Grotte du Trou de l'Argent, which adds a touch of adventure to the route. During your journey, you will also use handrails, small ladders and cross a balcony.
The sheepfolds of Contras

A beautiful, easy hike starting from the charming village of Saumane, with beautiful sheepfolds in very good condition and magnificent landscapes.
Bring something to drink on sunny days as much of the route is in direct sunlight.
Beaume waterfall

A varied hike to discover the village of La Beaume from the heights, Haute-Beaume and the surrounding area. There are many attractions: an old hermitage (in ruins), the Beaume waterfall, and flora and fauna.
Please note: this hike is not suitable for everyone, as the slopes are steep and the path is narrow and rugged in several places. It is reserved for fairly fit hikers. There is a steep climb early on.

The lavender tour on the Albion Plateau

An easy route on the Albion plateau, allowing you to discover the villages of Saint-Trinit and Aurel, as well as the surrounding lavender fields.
Between lavender fields and the Bois du Défends

This circular route allows you to walk through lavender fields before crossing the pretty little village of Aurel. The return journey follows a pleasant path through the Bois du Défends.
La Roche-des-Arnauds: the Bishops' circuit

The Circuit des Évêques (named after a place you will pass near) is a very popular route in La Roche-des-Arnauds. It will allow you to discover the cable bridge and the Corréo plateau with interesting views of the Tête de Clappe, the Pic de Bure and the Pic de Ceüze.
This circuit is also selected as a mountain bike circuit.
